I just subscribed after watching half of this video. With your help I was able to do this pattern after only knowing the ripple (chevron). The only problem I have and always have had is the tension. Some of it looks good and some areas are too loose. I need to keep working on it. Thanks for the tutorial and I'll finish watching the video. By the way I chained 350 for my first row. I want the blanket to cover my bed. I'm aiming high!
That's wonderful! Practice is always key to getting your tension to be consistent. :-)

CrochetKim , Ms. Guzman thank you for your consideration and reply! The reason I asked was that, while looking at your video, it looked like it can be decrease on each end and it may have to have an odd number of motifs!
It would be easier to work from top down but I think the butterflies would look upside down. I'll think about it more when it comes up on my schedule again. :-)

Yes, I believe so. I would probably change colors every other row to keep the full butterfly in one color.
