How did you like it? If you want to get this sprayer from Home Depot: homedepot.sjv.io/jW05nP or the Roundup from Home Depot: homedepot.sjv.io/e4XQrO - or the Roundup from Amazon: amzn.to/3czdOkc
My wife bought me one for Fathers Day and I like it really well . I built myself a fill station out of scrap lumber for it at just the right height so I do not have to pick it up with 4 gallons in it to strap in. I just back up to the table and strap the harness on and walk away ! It is so easy that way . And absolutely love the brass adjustable nozzle because with that I really see no need for the others as of yet .
I have a short very steep driveway that tends to get icy in the winter, i have been using sidewalk salt, but have had back surgery and thought a battery powered sprayer with liquid deicer would be a little easier,I was thinking i could stand up at the front of my garage and spray downhill on my garage driveway .Its about 30 ft long so i thought this would fit the ticket
QUICK TIP - MINE WOULDNT SPRAY, RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX... I purchased this yesterday. Straight out of the box it would not spray. I could hear the pump humming but no pressure. After double checking everything, still... no go! I drove up to HD, frustrated, thinking I had a faulty pump. I returned it & purchased another... Same problem!!! HOW I FIXED IT... Inside the reservoir there is a red and white filter, you cant miss it. Un-screw the filter... Stick your garden hose right into the inlet valve... Power on the sprayer (I had mine set to 7) and then immediately turn on your hose. The added pressure of the hose shooting directly into the inlet valve was enough to effectively "prime the pump" and it started working immediately. Re-installed the filter and was good go. This sort of troubleshooting tip was not included in the owners manual. It should be, given it happened with two separate machines.
Help! Picked this up with great anticipation of using it, but like others it won't work out of the box...however, my issue is the PUMP won't even turn on, can't get any humming....frustrated! Appreciate any pointers/tips this community can provide. Thanks. :)
Is there a trick to get it to spray? I just unboxed mine and have it filled up the 3 gallons. When I turn it on, it’s running but nothing won’t come out. I can’t even get it to come out the hose if I take the gun off. I’m wondering if I forgot a step
I would check those filters in the wand and check the filter at the bottom of the reservoir. Either one of those could be causing problems for you. Just to confirm, it is making a pumping noise right?
I got the Ryobi years ago as no one else made one but I think Makita and it was hundreds. I would buy this one today. My Ryobi is a piece of crap. Works well when it's working but leaks liquid on my back and the plastics are ridiculously cheap . In warranty they replaces several things but I'm out of warranty now.
This is a great sprayer, nice review. Just stained a large fence perimeter around 1/4 acre of land, Behr Natural cedar acyllic. Sprayer with the brass nozzle was great, BUT now I let it sit for a couple weeks.. and after cleaning the extra acryllic stain, running water through the hose until clear... the whole bottom of the unit keeps pumping clear water and leaking out of the bottom? Had no issue new >> doing stain work >> let some excess stain inside >> water clean out... now leaks?
I'm really sorry to hear about your experiences. I've left Roundup in it and don't seem to have any issues. Not sure why that would happen. Hopefully DeWalt covers that under warranty!
@@AndiWofford yeah I just bought the thing in July, not sure why acrylic stain would eat some seal or cause it to pump down water like that. I'll see how their warranty is since DeWalt is owned by Black and Decker these days.
@@AndiWofford well I went back to Home Depot hit 1-star reviews while getting my receipt to file on DeWalt warranty claim... Seems the leaking from bottom is known on reviews and even their trouble shooting manual.. Hard to imagine the seals going that fast but other reviews seem similar. Wish I could return (too late) get my $ back get 2x Ryobi One deal (even with yet another battery set to deal with) and I used those and they seem as good if not better for 1/2 per unit. I only got this due to having otter DeWalt tools, batteries..
Mine won't shut off any more when I release the trigger. Any ideas? Other than that it works good . I mean it's a workout . Want could be a bit longer. I'm 5/10 long arms
So it must be pumping, just no output? But yes, I do recall there being a white filter inside the tank. Best of luck to you working at one of my favorite tool brands!
Can you use this sprayer to pressure wash if you put the orange jet stream nozzle on? I have an old building here that I had painted at least 20 years ago and it's badly peeling. I thought it would be more affordable for me to do this rather than rent or buy a pressure washer. I've never pressure washed before and feel uncomfortable with the idea of doing that with a pressure washer. I started out scraping the paint off the building and at this rate I won't even get it painted this year. I need some faster method.
Cathy, I don’t think you’ll get enough pressure out of it to remove paint. You’re better off with something simple like this: amzn.to/43aqKlO - I have this same dewalt pressure washer. It’s small, lightweight, and if the paint is peeling like you say, you should be able to get it off for you with much less headache
@@AndiWofford Oh darn, I was hoping that the Dewalt backpack sprayer that I have would work for that job. I'm glad you replied or I would have tried that for nothing. I checked out that Dewalt pressure washer by clicking on the link you gave me and it seems to be very nice. I like that it's not real high powered. I kind of don't trust myself with those washers that have a couple thousand psi. This one that you mentioned looks like it would do the job and is compact rather than bulky, which is another thing that I like about it. I think Dewalt is a good brand, so I'm really leaning towards buying this washer. Thanks for recommending it.
It's very compact; we use it to clean our patio surfaces and spray off the house. It's not too powerful as to do damage to things, but it should be powerful enough to get some already-peeling paint off. Best of luck with your project! Let me know how it turns out!
I don't know how to make it run. I know where the on-off button is, and I have the battery charged. What am I missing? Someone said something about "priming" it, but I have no idea what to do, and nobody mentions it in any of the videos that I've watched. It's disappointing to think I've finally gotten a decent sprayer only to have it not work.
There is also another filter in the wand. You’re gonna want to make sure that you check that one too and clean it out regularly to keep your sprayer in top shape
@@AndiWofford so I checked the filter today. The one in the handle is clean. The other filter inside the pump. It’s clean too. But I noticed that the water is struggling going throw it, when the water is lower. When the water is full 4 gallons. Works fine. But when it gets to 1 gallon. That’s when the pressure , it slow down. I don’t understand

Here in Ireland they would be told where to go. Great review though. Turns out this is not available in Ireland - maybe this and my first sentence are not unrelated!! 🙂
@@AndiWofford Not really an issue. The weight decreases as you use it. Probably works good for its intended use. I have a lot of cordless Dewalt tools so extra batteries wouldn't be an issue. I haven't looked at it closely but it comes with extra spray nozzles and I am not sure if you can adjust the pressure. I live out in the country with about 1200' of 4 rail vinyl fencing so this could work. I use 30 second cleaner, which is bleach based, so not sure if the pump is suitable.
If I had 1200' feet, I'd fill that puppy up and deal with the weight rather than making 10 trips back to the hose 😂. You could also look at ATV or trailer mounted sprayers with that much to do. I've not had even a single green battery bar drop while using it (with 2 amp hr battery) so it seems pretty efficient from a battery perspective. And you can absolutely change nozzles for the spray pattern and there's a flow adjustment on the side as well. To your other point, are there any sprayers rated to handle bleach? If I was truly worried about that, I might get a cheaper sprayer than this one. Honestly, as long as you clean it out after use, it might be fine. Best of luck with your projects!
spraying weeds is a waste of time, since all ur left with is dead brown weeds in the ground....u still need to REMOVE the dead material by hand by the roots which means that cudda been done from the very beginning
Unfortunately, many weeds have long deep roots which need to be pulled completely if you don’t want them to grow back. Killing them first resolves that issue; irrespective of whether you pull them or not.

The last thing I need is a 5th charger and a 4th 2ah battery.
I suspect that might come later? Early adopters always get stuck with the extra chargers and batteries we don't need 🤦🏼♀️
They sell it now. I bought one yesterday
