- Accountability is essential in our journey towards holiness. And you might have heard about accountability specifically with regards to growing in purity... but accountability definitely ain't a one-trick-pony.

Accountability allways helps people perform better. Psychologycally it works very well for some people. As an accountability coach I have observed 100's of people, how simple accountability check-in can help making big changes over the time.
I agree. Humans are programmed to not do anything we don't have to, so if we have trouble doing things we want to, getting someone to make us have to helps. I only get started on costume projects when there's a deadline approaching.

I love accountability. I especially love same gender friend accountability as in “Wild at heart” by John Eldridge. Accountability where a woman is holding a man accountable seems to go against male female polarity in a marriage and can be a temptation for us women to nag or mother. But I agree, accountability is so good.

Your wife is beauitful in God be steadfast former sins of a friend become temptation for a Godly woman which needs your swift words from a biblical point to exercise Gods sovereignty over your marriage and dominion. What about those in Religious Life?
Those who have taken vows of chastity, poverty and obedience?

Many of the great saints of the Church were not married!
Many religious live in communities that explicitly help keep them accountable. There are certainly saints who were called out into the desert to live alone with God, but even they kept in touch with disciples and others. It is often said that humans are social animals, which points towards the truth that God made us to be together. He created two original humans, not one.
Let me be fully honest this once: I am accountable to God only. You are accountable to people because you never met God and He doesn't communicate with you.
Having said all that, I like you guys and the idea is noble.
St Paul met God but still wrote to people to stay accountable to one another. If we were only accountable to God how would someone admonish the sinner?
The filter is so orange and fake. Why? It takes away from the content, in my opinion.

@@kevincrandall2751 they are misleading. They think that being like them is the holiest thing to do. Read your Bible, dear. Read directly what the apostle told through their writings.
Giving your whole life for God is the best thing thing to do. Giving your life for women is not the best thing to do.
Not everyone is called to singleness.
@@ThingsAbove333 that's true but why everyone needs an accountability partner? What about our accountability towards God? Are we accountable to our partner or God first?
@@Theunspokentruth77 Yes we are accountable to God for sure. But He also tells us to confess our sins one to another, carry each other's burdens, help one another, not to forsake fellowship,teach, train, reprove, iron sharpens iron, lift each other up, two are better than one...those are all accountability with each other.The richness and fullness of God's word is so beautiful!

One doesn't need to be religious. The truth that the apostles died for isn't religion. There's difference between religion and truth. Roman Catholicism is a religion. Jesus Christ and the testimonies of the apostles of Jesus Christ is the "truth".
Truth sets us free, not any religion.
Accountability works well for anyone. It's not exclusively a religious practice ❤
