I discovered this band and Scott too late. This was the first song I heard and it struck like a bullet to my soul. I don't know why each time this happens it seems like it's always coming from people who are already gone. I struggle to believe in any kind of afterlife at this point, but I still save a bit of room for hope that it's true because I want to believe that people like Scott have found the peace they deserve.
I still can't believe he has gone. I saw Scott play with Frightened Rabbit countless times, also as Owl John and lastly with Mastersystem in London. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times and he always had time to talk. R.I.P Scott, I hope you have finally found your happy place
One of the grittiest ‘ dark ‘ chunks of rock music I ever heard - for me it’s not just your average goth or metal etc ‘ black day ‘ tune but given what I’ve learnt from my FR fan son re Scott , it unfortunately reads like a Note - if you know what I mean. Incredibly powerful . .( and I’ve heard a lot of stuff since first hearing ‘Sabbath bloody sabbath ‘ in 1977 )
Here comes the ground again My concrete safety net As I leave the sky for the earth I shed, shed my feathers And my small net worth Here comes the ground again I want less I want less I want less
Jesus! At the six minute mark, that's some bald spot Scott had. Is that why he wore a baseball cap so much towards the end? Anyway, RIP Scott. Have had this song on repeat alot over the last few weeks. Sadly, my 26 y/o brother took his own life in mid July. Like Scott's family, we're taking comfort in the fact he's at peace and not suffering anymore. Rest easy, Rob.

Met him afterwards and despite all the years he remembered me and asked how I was!? How are you Scott!? I miss him. :(
Man I hope he knows how much shit he helped me through with his music and words .
Scott will never know it but he found me on his way out of here and pulled me up enough to get back on my feet.
100%
Glad you made it mate. It's tough out there..
He towed a big line pulling us all up. Wish he’d stayed long enough to receive thanks.

You were very lucky to see him many times and to meet him too. That's great. Good on you.
RIP Scott
I just watched this. I've no idea why. I didn't want to, Now I'm a fucking mess, again. Please never delete this.
his voice was so so good for this kind of grungy, distortion-fuelled material.
Holy Shit. This is history.
This might be my favourite track off the album.

i don't understand it... so much to give. So much more.
Nah man, he gave us everything he had in him and a lot more even though he really didn't have much of a fire left burning inside. Let him rest
Thanks for recording and uploading these pal, it was a special gig.
2 Weeks ago. So Sad.
I never listened to Frightened Rabbit but got hold of the Mastersystem album and thought my prayers had been answered.
This song is everything I love about good music.
Fuckin love this song
Here comes the ground again
My concrete safety net
As I leave the sky for the earth
I shed, shed my feathers
And my small net worth
Here comes the ground again
I want less
I want less
I want less
Man Scott was such a talent. Probably the biggest talent since Cobain in my opinion.
Both of them were so hauntingly dark.
Those lyrics so poignant now in the event of his passing :-(
Why did he have to go?
Was this his last gig?
21innocentbystander this was at Glasgow, they did a few more gigs as Mastersystem.
