A guy in this vid spoke o how some of Pistol Pete's college team mates were surprised by some of Pete's passes. I remember when Pete joined the pro Atlanta Hawks some of his teammates were taken off guard as well. I remember a classmate said if they couldn't keep up it was on them.
Mr. Pistol Pete watching his movie but there is one highlight I have seen on here on UA-cam all he did was freak everybody with the ball at the top of the Key
The StoneR - Pete never wore Converse. He always played in PROKEDS. I know because I (we) supplied them to him. He was on the PROKEDS PRO STAFF as well as his father Press. I spend time with Pete in New Orleans when he was with the Jazz. When people ask me who I thought was the best basketball player I ever saw........Pistol Pete. Jason Williams came close. I asked another PROKEDS staff members the same question (JoJo White and Sweet Lou Hudson they both said Pistol Pete. Gail Goodrich told me that Pete was born on another planet.
joe jones Ha........then go do it you dumbass...plenty of guys have had the greenlight to shoot at will. Only one averaged 44.5 ppg in college. FYI he also led the NBA 2x in scoring. One year by 5 ppg over Kareem, Dr. J" Gervin, Archibald, Thompson, etc...
He could score 44 a game but was the best passer and dribbler people had ever seen. GOAT!

Pistol, hes the father of modern baskeball for me.hes ahead of his time making his style of playing like alien to his mates lol
And that's playing with Converse all stars. Imagine if he had some Nike Air's.

@@geraldroraback5432 great info sir, thanks!
so sad i am second viewer..this deserves much more
You're not kidding eh?
LSU the original #23 it's obvious to me that Michael Jordan emulated Pistol Pete. From his Jump shot to his Low Socks!!!
👍👍👍
i agreee pistol was the man;)
When your old man is the coach of the team, and doesn't allow anyone else to shoot but you, it's easy to see how you can average 40/50 points a game.
If it is so easy, YOU do it.

Look at his shooting percentage....and build a bridge get over it
LSU varsity was 3-23 the year before Pete played. Pete's first year on varsity, they went to 14-12.
You do realize that there was a reason why he played full time on his team? He was literally the most skilled player on his team at the time
