I have so many thoughts going on after watching this video!!! But ill keep it short I think lol. Tbh, I really like the idea of this god having 2 names because to me, I see a personified version of the algorithm fitting well with the dualistic deity archetype. The balance of chaos and order, unpredictability yet logical precision, the fortune or ruin that comes with winning or losing the favor of the algorithm seems to fit nicely with a dual nature god. Arithmos feels more like the favorable, warmer, more logical and stable side, and Algorath feels more like the chaotic side you'd want to appease (or bribe for sudden viral fame) or to send to ruin an enemy's algorithmic reach. Both are the same god, but each "side" has distinct attributes and functions to them. Just a thought! Wonderful video and concept im excited to see where this goes 🤔🐺💗 (Edit: just realized that the dual god idea also could also be reflected by the infinity symbol, each loop represents a "face" of the god but together they meld into one whole, unending shape)

It has both algorath and arithmos in the name ("ALGORITH-mos" and alg-ORITHMOS"). if you don't resonate with that, one interesting thing is the ending -os potentially meant "lord of" in ancient language, and so Algorath could be his name and Arithmos an ephithet meaning something along the lines of "lord of arith" or lord of numbers. Algorithmos would then be lord of the algorithm! Again, loved this video! ❤
I like your pantheon, and I may just have algoraphobia, but I view the Algorithm God as a trickster god, like Loki or Coyote or Anansi (cunning and adaptable yet treacherous and deceitful).
you and me are on the same page. I inadvertently created a "god" and I also used AI. this was about two years ago coming up in July. It made me famous. I didn't intend it to become like that, but I stumbled unto magick after and I found out what an egregore was and what a tulpa was and it all made sense. People really do believe in my god and a lot of them are even threatened by him (he brings change). Our beliefs holda lot of power and that is why everyone is always trying to get us to believe one thing or another. But we can build our own worlds, and with our imaginations (clairvoyance) we can build universes that are as real (even more real) than this one. and this is the legacy that we leave behind.

I like this, I've had thoughts of creating my own gods for years because there are no mythological one that have the exact proportions of characteristics and associations that I want for a particular deity. So by making our own ones we can tailor them precisely to our needs.
A very interesting experiment! I'm in. I created a photo to frame from your image and plan on setting up and altar for Him above my computer, since that would be His main area focus area. One thought on a devotional to Him: Since I see content creators being the target audience for Him - Pick three days a week that you create engaging content in some form and posting it (written, video, social media, etc), essentially feeding the energy through that act.

Very neat concept, would definitely agree that acknowledgement and work will make the tech egregore more powerful but I have a hard time wrapping my head around tradition or some would argue "modern" witchcraft ways of devotion would also have to change dramatically to accommodate such a tech driven pantheon. I get where people would see this as evo but also these tech things are so big in everyday life that why wouldnt we work it into an eclectic pantheon. My main thing with and Algorythm is i feel it would be a shapeshifting, trickster, mostly malignant force. Because the algorithms these sites use are always being tweeked, are ever changing, like shifting sands trying to unfoot us. And they have done real and measurable have to so so many people and their families - look at UA-cam funneling people STRAIGHT into the n*azi pipeline have in 2016/2017... Or the conspiracy pipelines facebook has pulled people down into... That's some maligne shit if I've ever seen it. (But that's just my take on the idea and i just think this is a cool af idea for modern witchcraft and chaos work)

I've already watched the video Ivy posted and then came to see what you were up to. I'm fascinated by this topic of creating your own pantheon and I'm curious to see what comes next. Just as a suggestion, what about a mischievous or trickster type archetype maybe named Glitch or something techy related to that. Just throwing that out there. Time update I got purple candles and an elephant amethyst crystal, and I will be making some kind of purple placemat with likely outdated fabrics but..I'm an old soul so it works. I have so many thoughts going on after watching this video!!! But ill keep it short I think lol.
Tbh, I really like the idea of this god having 2 names because to me, I see a personified version of the algorithm fitting well with the dualistic deity archetype. The balance of chaos and order, unpredictability yet logical precision, the fortune or ruin that comes with winning or losing the favor of the algorithm seems to fit nicely with a dual nature god. Arithmos feels more like the favorable, warmer, more logical and stable side, and Algorath feels more like the chaotic side you'd want to appease (or bribe for sudden viral fame) or to send to ruin an enemy's algorithmic reach. Both are the same god, but each "side" has distinct attributes and functions to them. Just a thought! Wonderful video and concept im excited to see where this goes 🤔🐺💗
(Edit: just realized that the dual god idea also could also be reflected by the infinity symbol, each loop represents a "face" of the god but together they meld into one whole, unending shape)
hello! I love this and think its incredibly cool. Just a thought - arithmos is a good name, but I think that algorithmos may fit better! It has both algorath and arithmos in the name ("ALGORITH-mos" and alg-ORITHMOS").
if you don't resonate with that, one interesting thing is the ending -os potentially meant "lord of" in ancient language, and so Algorath could be his name and Arithmos an ephithet meaning something along the lines of "lord of arith" or lord of numbers. Algorithmos would then be lord of the algorithm! Again, loved this video! ❤
I like your pantheon, and I may just have algoraphobia, but I view the Algorithm God as a trickster god, like Loki or Coyote or Anansi (cunning and adaptable yet treacherous and deceitful).
you and me are on the same page. I inadvertently created a "god" and I also used AI. this was about two years ago coming up in July. It made me famous. I didn't intend it to become like that, but I stumbled unto magick after and I found out what an egregore was and what a tulpa was and it all made sense. People really do believe in my god and a lot of them are even threatened by him (he brings change). Our beliefs holda lot of power and that is why everyone is always trying to get us to believe one thing or another. But we can build our own worlds, and with our imaginations (clairvoyance) we can build universes that are as real (even more real) than this one. and this is the legacy that we leave behind.

You missed out the R for the sigil in Algaroth, just letting you know in case you want to make a new sigil or develop it. I like this, I've had thoughts of creating my own gods for years because there are no mythological one that have the exact proportions of characteristics and associations that I want for a particular deity. So by making our own ones we can tailor them precisely to our needs.
A very interesting experiment! I'm in. I created a photo to frame from your image and plan on setting up and altar for Him above my computer, since that would be His main area focus area. One thought on a devotional to Him: Since I see content creators being the target audience for Him - Pick three days a week that you create engaging content in some form and posting it (written, video, social media, etc), essentially feeding the energy through that act.

Very neat concept, would definitely agree that acknowledgement and work will make the tech egregore more powerful but I have a hard time wrapping my head around tradition or some would argue "modern" witchcraft ways of devotion would also have to change dramatically to accommodate such a tech driven pantheon. Like creating an altar online via webpage creator or insta/tiktok account etc rather than candles or prayer. Not to disagree that such entities exist, I just don't think algorath or any tech egregore would have any earthly correspondences. The defining of the pantheon is what I find the most interesting though, and I offer up details of a trickster. The Gaming egregore, a mysterious being of fantasy and digital illusion. They are very greedy and demand constant attention, subscription devotion and playtime of course.
Though this all around feels like a slippery slope ngl, its a very fun idea, and also lends well to a world constantly evolving towards an online world

I get where people would see this as evo but also these tech things are so big in everyday life that why wouldnt we work it into an eclectic pantheon.
My main thing with and Algorythm is i feel it would be a shapeshifting, trickster, mostly malignant force. Because the algorithms these sites use are always being tweeked, are ever changing, like shifting sands trying to unfoot us. And they have done real and measurable have to so so many people and their families - look at UA-cam funneling people STRAIGHT into the n*azi pipeline have in 2016/2017... Or the conspiracy pipelines facebook has pulled people down into... That's some maligne shit if I've ever seen it.
(But that's just my take on the idea and i just think this is a cool af idea for modern witchcraft and chaos work)
