Whats Up Guys!? Welcome back to the channel!! This week I'd like to talk about when is it time to take a break from riding? Why I stepped away from motorcycles for a year and why it might be right for you!!? Its a hard decision to make but for several reason I decided it was right for me, is it right for you? Lets ride my 2024 MT-07 around North Carolina and talk about this topic!!

I'm 67 now & own a 2022 MT07 & i will stop smoking pot/hitting THC carts shooting pool, golfing, & riding my bike when I'm dead....Until that day, I'm riding my bike a lot & i am a HOOLIGAN....Hit 100 or more every time i ride ....I rarely go on hiways....I live in a rural southwest Ohio area....Have made many mods, will post a video someday....

I live in Cleveland, too, and I'm about to sell my motorcycle after four years of riding because I blame other people for 95% of everything bad that happens nearly every time I ride. The people who DO see you are as bad or worse than the ones who don't see you.
Like the people who tailgate you six feet behind you and refuse to back off, the ones who make eye contact with you but still pull out in front of you, and the fact that people know how dangerous their cars are toward you, but still don't care is what did it for me.
I absolutely love riding, but people ruin everything in life because they don't care about anyone but themselves, and because of them, I just don't enjoy it anymore. It's pretty sad, actually.

I quit long time ago because I didn't feel like riding around pointlessly.... And putting on all the gear an not being flexible was annoying. I had my first bike, Ninja 250R and then sold it even right before getting the official license. But I like watching this content on UA-cam and when I sold my bike I told myself to never ever buy one again because I thought it was the biggest mistake. I knew that I like watching bike content and therefore tried to never forget to keep in mind that when I ever get the idea to maybe get a bike again, to just not do it.

Ducati’s are amazing but like you said you can ride way longer on a naked bike. I loved my 959 but I don’t regret selling it at all. 😎

Whenever you obtain a bike, own property, or have anyone that depends on you.... values change. If you want to ride, you need a life insurance policy that will pay off ANYTHING that you currently have. Example, if you buy a home valued at 500k, you need to have at LEAST a 750k policy to pay the residence off. Just because you crash and die does NOT mean you can't help them still. Set these things up prior to purchase of the bike. Assume you will have a 30 year term policy whenever you buy something with risk.
No, I don't sell insurance. I manage risk for a living.

Agreed. 29, married with 4 kids. Work construction always wanted a bike but really cant justify getting one until my kids are older. After first one was born got a 1,000,000 policy on myself though.

I recently started riding and am riding a Ninja 500. I like that the riding position is similar to a standard bike. I might eventually get a 600 or 1000 if I'm enjoying track days, but before that I'm planning to get a tourer for road trips (after I finish paying off my Ninja).

Nice! Good idea, sport bikes are fun but a tourer is way more utilitarian 😎

Been on my 22 MT07 since June of 22. I have a friend with a 23 MT09sp… it is also a hoot to ride, it is not as nimble, it feels a little more sluggish from the dig, sucker rips to the moon midrange and up though! I wouldn’t trade my 07 for his 09sp, just wish I had a true cruise control is the only major want!

@@Paramoto959 important point of your video….. be honest with yourself, how do I really want to ride, and what is best suited to make me wanna do that? For me the 07 checks all the boxes and was cheaper and more fun than an 09!
