Monte Carlo isn't an Island. It is part of the greater Principality of Monaco, a sovereign city state in the contiguous South of France. It's a .76 sq mi. sliver of land known as the French Riviera. and none of what I just said was important... it really wasn't.
I think you made a mistake at about 1:43. You said "the percentage of times the stone lands in the square". I think you meant to say "the percentage of times the stone lands in the circle" Am I right?
Great video, good explanation. Near the end, you mention that the name of the method comes from the use of the method by Monte Carlo casinos, but I have been told that it was named that due to one of its creator's uncle and his gambling at the Monaco Monte Carlo Casino. Am I misinformed?
Thank you for the concise insight of the monte carlo simulation. Wish my professor could explain like this. And i see, there is no more other videos except on diffusion. Wish for further videos too.
Hi, thank you for the video but Could you show maybe one of the calculations of Pi because I do not understand how a point make you calculate anything. pi=(2*2)/(2)*(%sq in Circle) .... how do I get that from a point... Thanks
hey Master could you help me with my work I am trying to do Molecular Simulation too, I need a program to watch the molecules. Well I need that they move and i just have the frames with Santorini program, which one do you use? well here's my mail. thx for your time :D
After browsing through countless videos on this subject, it was your video that finally made it click. Thank you.
You provided the best definition of Monte Carlo simulation that I came across so far. Thanks!
Thank you, thank you thank you so much for taking the time to share this video. Very well explained indeed. You Sir are an absolute legend!
clean and to the point - well done
Nice simulation!
Best simple Explanation on this topics. Thank you.

A very succinct and excellent introduction. Very talented. Hope you will have time to create more of these videos.
Can you please show the code to build this?

Yeah, I thought the same

Excellent Video mate

very good video.short and sweet
amazing video, succinct and clear. thank you!
Hi, thank you for the video but Could you show maybe one of the calculations of Pi because I do not understand how a point make you calculate anything.
pi=(2*2)/(2)*(%sq in Circle) .... how do I get that from a point...
Thanks
Bro - it is about probability of a random point being inside or outside the circle.
Hi Kevin, maybe can I get the matlab code of this similation?
Nicely portrayed!
@spartarra , Hi mate, Can you please give me that script to find Pi value by using Matlab. It will be very helpful for my studies.

well here's my mail.
thx for your time :D
Awesome video! Keep it going! Your were off to a great start.
I didn't see that coming 0:13
Best Monte Carlo intruduction
hey very good!!
i am gonna see all your videos
This is pretty cool. Thanks
good job
Thanks mate!
thank u
Thanks. Helped me a lot!
Try going slower, this is not trivial.
The pi example is lousy.
