Every December, the Christmas Lantern Express departs from the city of Knoxville with Southern Railway 2-8-0 No. 154. I love how you have the modern diesel and then the old steam train passing each other so cool
Always amazing to see her running strong, hard to think next year will be 130. And that whistle from 2.13-2.30, it is the so haunting and if I didn’t know better I would think it was the flat top passenger 3 chime from D&RGW 473, later 478, and since 2006 473 again. Later is sounds like usual, but at the beginning, no. Thank you for sharing this great video.

My dad graduated from the University of Tennessee and remembers seeing her sitting on display in Chilhowee Park. So good to see her running again.
