Brilliant explanation, thank you for creating it! Now I wish there was a computerized version that would handle the workload of the umpire and provide an AI opponent, it sounds very interesting to try...
Too easy to say that Napoleon was defeated by winter and not the Russian strategy and on the battlefield. Of course we in the west tend to glorify Prussia /Germany, even the Nazis in WW2, and look down upon Russia / Soviets. This tells us something about who we are. Same with Napoleon, who wasn’t “just a dictator conquering Europe”.
Napoleon was NOT a dictator and was in fact the greatest leader of men and a nation of all history. And THAT can be proven, to deny that he's the greatest is to look blindly into the past as read only what British propagandists have written about him for decades.
@mikropanda1467 emperor and first consul have been replaced with dictator. Napoleon had supreme power but that does not mean he didn't lend command or delegate his task... Which he did very well, and appointed the best men in their fields for the jobs... With no lobbying (with the exception of his family). In a corrupt govt. Corrupt men can get away with stealing from others, with lies and money. That was not the case in Naploens govt. Those that failed at their jobs were opened removed and replaced.... Battlefield commands and govt. Officials.
Knowledge about Prussia as a country is not as common as you may think it is. Hell, i am from Berlin and have encountered fellow locals that actually don't know what Prussia was. In fact, the majority of people i talked to on the streets would only have very limited knowledge of Prussia if any at all beyond being able to regognize the name. So if it's like that in the Capital of the former state, i can't imagine it being any easier for a American to know about. I mean, it is an Ocean away and expecting people there to know about prussia is like expecting people here to know about the Louisiana purchase or the mexican american war.
I may only be enlisted but I love this officer stuff
The federation academy rules do not say you cannot reprogram the game to beat the no-win scenario, Jim.
R.U.S.E for xbox 360 and pc really emulates this experience well. Not 100% but its quite fun for those looking to game casually.
Very interesting

he was a dictator at first though, just like julius ceasar. You just give the word a bad connotation

Masséna wants a word with you.
He was a patron of science, a lawgiver and ran his nation as a meritocracy - sounds great to me.
How patronising. We are not all idiots. We know who Prussia is.
