Sorry for appearance. I’ve been fighting this sickness for a week now. Ugh!
Hey man you look ok. We are all human.
Get well soon man 💪
What happened ? Take care bro
Get well! 💪
I don't understand the hate for the bezels... it's not that bad honestly
I thought so too. It's not as bad as I thought. Didn't even think about it. 😂
Goog always had a thing for bezels. It's the nature of the beast. 🤷🏼♂️
iPhone users happy to not be biggest bezel crew now I guess 😂
@@perkulant4629💀
Its nice i purchased it today in the Bay color 128gb, with a $100 gift card from best buy. I figured a good deal why not 😊 i enjoy pixels alot.
Good choice. I got the new aloe color but it's not as good as it looked online.
@@Pike3916 oh dang I was low-key wanting that color but I'm happy with bay 😊.
Google have basically killed the mid range market why would you buy anything else when your getting near flagship specs for a mid range price (£350) here in the UK on current sale.
If you do some reserch there are way better devices in half the price. Small compromise is in camera department. Everything else is better
@@cuteatif19 Go on such as
Exactly. The a - series is the only phone to buy. There's nothing out there that does a better job per dollar.
@@cuteatif19there is no phone at that price with a better camera and 7 years of OS Updates.
Agreed, best bang for buck. Getting one as a side phone when it drops price a little
What does everyone think of the more round corners that Google is doing now? I personally prefer the square look of the older ones. The 6a for example. That's one thing I didn't like about the iPhone. Way to rounded off.
I like the round edges. Feels better to hold
Love it
I love it tbh
reminds me of the Nexus 6 days, so I'm here for it
I've been using the Pixel 6 for the past few years, and the fingerprint reader on the 8a is WAY faster.
This is the main reason I upgraded from Pixel 6 to 8a...the 8a fingerprint reader is MUCH better!
Same on my 7a. The fingerprint sensor works every time. Face unlock is spot on too
I have 107 gb available on my 128. I would say I'm making it just fine
You are right about big phone fatigue. I got my son the 6a last year. I liked the size so much I have him my "nicer" OnePlus I had just got. It's perfect size. Not small, not big. 😱🤯 The Goldilocks. Lol.
Should get my 8A delivered tomorrow. Been offered £280 trade in for my old iphone 11 so it should bring the price down to £220
You’re a legend of UA-cam…but please can we get chapters 😆
Hey does the phone support DisplayPort alt ?
The second speaker gril is a mic, not aesthetics
iPhone 15 has a pretty similar bezel but people don't hate it and it's an expensive phone compared and only has 60hz screen. This phone offers a lot and people hate it. What a world we are living in..
Pixel heavy slow to charge and bad battery?
Flipkart cheated recently in tactical way.
1. Ordered Pixel 8A in exchange of Pixel 7 (Pixel 7 rear camera not opening post update)
2.Also ordered Pixel buds got 999 in pre order with 8A
3. Initially pixel Buds got delivered
4.) Today when the courier boy came for exchange. Yantra app is closing after few tests.
5.) Already I have selected camera issue still yantra app unable to skip camera test and failing.
6.) Exchange got cancelled and Credit card amount got refunded.
7.) Here is the twist where 3999 got deducted as pixel Buds cost.
8.) Here none of the mistakes are with me. But still Flipkart unable to accept buds return due to their terms and conditions it since.
9.) as the exchange not happens 3999 got deducted.
10.) Even the issue with app we can't do anything.
So everyone should avoid exchange cheating running by Flipkart
This is not a small phone. It's really not. If anything it's slightly bigger than a standard/medium size.
it is...................
lol seen Samsung range 10.20 😂😂
Get a Nokia 3310, its small...👌
Finally someone with honest answer its not boring tho I feel like I should of got 8a don't care about wireless charging or resolution but I got it all with the pixel pro but the big screen can be daunting
6:39 flares 😳 iphone is that you?
I was on the verge of pre-ordering the 8a as an upgrade to my 6a, which I love. We have great Trade In deals, here in the UK. Glad I didn't, as I tried one in store and what put me off were the rounded corners, which look great from the back, but, to me, at least, look as if they "protrude" from the front, making the phone look asymmetrical and frankly weird.
I'm pretty sure that the addition of a case would only exacerbate this. Now, every time I look at a review, that's the first thing I see. So,I am sitting tight until the Pixel 8 drops in price, which, to me looks better aesthetically, in spite of the fact that I don't like glass backs. It'll be in a case from day one anyway! 😉😉
I would wait for the 9, but that Camera Island........that's getting into Apple territory in terms of hideousness (and in terms of cases) and practicality.
Smooth review.
Pixel 8a or Huawei Pura 70 pro
The aloe color isn't as saturated as it appears online. Its more of a mint. Get the bay.
I was able to order it for $300, few hours later the retailer selling it for $500 now. 🥳🥳
Small storage seriously that's not small lmao. In surprised you didn't moan & moan about bezels & other nitpicks alot of reviewers tend to do.
I have the 7a & it's screen is much more dim then the 8a & it's visible outside.
My only gripe is they the USB port is soldered onto the motherboard.
People always like to rag on the A Series when 8 gigs or ram is fine & the Tensor G3 is no slouch comparable to a good snapdragon maybe not as optimized with battery out of the box without changing settings.
What's bad about USB being soldered onto motherboard ?
Just curious.
Ty in advance.
Any heat ? Battery like…also what is google dialer like on motto ppl couldn’t hear me
Flat screen?
You dont hate the bezels!!! Good for you! Keep defending them
First review I've seen that understands the a - series line. They really are the perfect phones. Not too big, not too expensive, great photos, color accurate screen, enough battery for one day and a price retail workers can afford.
Nothing you don't need. It's a solid buy for 7 years. It'll be just as good 7 years from now as it is now. That's the a-series. No gimmicks, just decent engineering for a decent price. Pretty fair. And I like fair.
Personally, I like the 7a and 8a photos better than the 8 and 8 Pro photos because the Sony sensors in the a - phones have better color seperation and wider native color gamuts than the Samsung sensors in the non a - phones, even if they have less dynamic range than the non - a phones. Because I prefer wide color gamuts more than HDR. So, for my preferences, the 8a is better than the 8.
I subbed man! I agree that the a -series can be recommended to anyone.
Other reviewers say it gets very bright, comparable to most flagship phones
It goes up to 2000 nits peak brightness, which I would say is pretty good. Some flagship phones have less nits than that
But they siad Tensor G3 is bad for battery health is that true
It's a solid one day phone.
Big bezels??? What bezels? Anyways, it looks like a great phone for the price.
I like small phones but with a complete flagship specs with thin bezels
S24
its not compact way it looks (for those who are using compact phone S7 or S10E etc). Granted its compact for someone who is using 6.5" phone regularly.
What you mean ? Always that nice SE with airport bezels u could pick 😂
@@KoalaBeer. no. I am not a fan of huge bezels. Thats why I said 6.1" of Pixel 8 is not that compact.
Nice Apple watch
seems kind of a pointless launch considering the 8 is more like the logical choice to buy over this
Suck battery life, thick bezel, and mediocre chipset
I got it yesterday. I don't mind the bezels, battery life is good and the chip set does everything I need. Light gaming and streaming.
@@jmendoza310any heat? ..what’s call quality like
@@KoalaBeer.a little bit of heat during initial setup. No heat since then, but I'm also not a heavy user. Light gaming streaming and internet browsing Call quality is good. No complaints.
What exactly google did it here? You are acting as 500 dollars is not much of money. 250 - 270 ish dollar phones have 12 Gigs of ram, 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage bigger and better 1.5K oled screen. This phone is trash with those bezels, 128 GB storage and a tensor chip. It baffles me how all tech influencers turns a blind eye to Google and Apple base iPhone 15/Plus model.
Name some of them 270 dollar phones
@@noonewashere8522 redmi note 13 pro plus. Mrwhostheboss did a video on that.
Was going to ask the same. Find me one proper phone at that price with those specs that will also be updated for more than 2 years. Bet you the list will be very very short. I doubt they will also take any decent phones comparable to the pixels.
@@sconnection Redmi note 13 pro+ have 3 year of OS and 4 year of security updates. takes good photos and costs half.
@@cuteatif19 Fair enough. In my country the phone is 400-500 euros thou. Quite a bit more than 270 dollars. And basically the same as the pixel 7a currently costs. But Xiaomi's might be a lot cheaper in the states. All that does come at the cost of having to watch adds when installing a new app thou. Or atleast it was that way on the Xiaomi I had a couple years back.
There are other things to consider accept pure specs thou. Stock android, or stock android feel is a MUST for me. Something a brand like Xiaomi will never offer.
But looking at pure specs. On paper, there are better phones for your money. But if you take into consideration other things than pure specs I think the Pixel A lineup is incredibly good value. That is a personal experience and opinion thou.
sounds trash
