- Seafoam in the crank case? Might not work like you think it would but for 10 $ in a can and about 30 mins. Might just fix your issue instead of spending tons of cash. I was told it was an actuator which is 1600-1800 dollar fix so decided to do it myself which didn’t resolve the issue .weirdly enough seafoam did it
SeaFoam recommends that you run it for 100-300 miles with the SeaFoam in the oil before changing it.
@@travharrell1713 that’s what they say but I heard of it causing bearing issues. Didn’t want to chance it. It fixed the issue I was having. Didn’t want to push my luck
@@WhitecapPW Never heard that. I have been using SeaFoam in my crankcase before every oil change since 1979 when I got my license. Never had an issue. My current 07 Silverado 4.8 V8 has 356,000 miles and still going strong. My wife's 07 Lincoln MKX only has 165,000 miles, she's a slacker. Son's 05 Avalance has 175,000. All 3 still have basically the same compression as new and use no oil. The only engine that I have had problems with is my 79 Mazda GLC. I got hit by an old lady running a red light and she cracked the engine block. Not really SeaFoam's fault. lol.
@@travharrell1713 good to know. I appreciate the info. Definitely been a good product though
