Great video. For those like me a year ago you’re probably confused on how to write good headline copy. Best technique I use is to put a write ‘Now You Can + [Headline]. This will make sure you are writing it about the users problem. Once on your site remove the ‘Now You Can’.
I think you are really one of the best out there because you do teach like a good teacher and i'm learning a lot from you . Generally I think Australians are very clever, sincere and deliver with a good heart and intention. That is why whenever I see products made from Australia, I want to buy it !

I have improved my forms immensely from day 1, but I do need to capture a lot of information from a prospective client to fulfill an order. I totally understand and agree with a simple call to action or buy now, but doesn't quite work in my field. Quick question - if you sell a service that can have four, five or six slightly different keywords that essentially have the same meaning, should I create a unique landing page for all? (Overnight Freight, Next Day Freight, Urgent Freight, 24 hour freight, Time Critical Freight - for example)

For a brand new ecommerce brand / website, what would be the conversion rate for the website overall from Google Shopping Ads that you would be aiming for? Would it still only be 2-3%? The reason I ask is that I am putting together my target metrics now for my campaign, and obviously if I am only getting say 2 sales every 100 clicks, then it looks like I am going to be paying about £30 per conversion (based on an average CPC of £0.60). So is this the lowest cost per conversion you would expect - or should we be able to get. the conversion rate of the site much higher?

For service-based businesses, when you're trying to drive phone calls, inquiry forms, or bookings, if you're sending super high quality traffic and your keywords/ads are really dialed in properly, bottomish of funnel terms...what conversion rate range are you very happy with (e.g 5-10%, 10-15%, 15-20%, 20-25%, more than 25%?

Should I create a landing page for EACH keyword in a sense copying the exact same landing page and using the different keywords to trigger conversion? Or can one landing page with all relevant services and a strong call to action?

Hi Aaron, love watching your videos. I'm a bit of a newbie to all of this, but I'm looking to run some ads for my copywriting business. If I wanted to run a Google Ads campaign, would I need to use a landing page that is separate from my website? I have a Wix website for now, but would I be drawing people through my ads to a specific part of that website, or would it need to be like a sales page or a campaign page which is separate? Apologies for the basic question - just looking to understand what is what.

I guess you could create subpages inside your website for specific campaigns, where that product / service would be more explained in detail.
But what about for an ecom store? Should we create a separate landing page that directs to the store product page?

Welcome to the channel Seim. Yes things have changed with landing pages over the last couple of years, so it is important to keep split testing until you get the right formula for your business
How do you remedy the discrepancy between ad clicks and actual landing page visits? For example, a campaign I run had 347 clicks, but only 109 recorded visits in the last 30 days (stats via hotjar). Kinda kills the potential for conversions that a well optimized landing page can give. Any advice?

I make designer clothing that requires people to know there measurements. This pops up in a form after they add to the cart. But I feel like it could put a hindrance in getting more customers..

My landing page is directly the product pages where all my products are listed with Buy Now button or Add to cart button. is it ok? My account is very new and just started running ads since 6 days with Performance Max campaign. WHole lotts clicks but not a single conversion. Should I be more patient? pls guide. A good option is to create seperate page and test the results in a campaign.
From that data you can then implement any changes into your main site

I was really heart-broken when my ads got ZERO impressions today, then I your video on how Google ads auctions are awarded (if I wasn't already depressed, I now know why). Then, you lead me to this video, and Holy Crap! I've just learned that my landing page (home page) is really a long-winded "About" page...it hits some of the items, solves problems, but it's not clean or concise. Thanks to this tutorial, I'm going to make a whole new landing page, turn the other into a concise ABOUT page, use more images, and emphasize the "Call to Action". Cheers, mate!

Many tuts start analyzing pages on desktop… and generally when people start building pages based on this kind of tutorial in mind they jump on building page as if people will it on desktop and when they start optimizing it they face ux issues and optimization issues
You can get a 100% speed score on desktop and 30 % on mobile

Hi Aaron great vids I have been watching a heap of your stuff the last week. Wondering if you could give me some quick advice? I'm 35 have been a tradie and not alot of computer/ tech experience. I'm wanting to upskill and possibly start my own business etc. I like the idea of google ads and helping businesses grow. Thanks for the support & I am glad to hear you are finding value in my content. Personally, I think it is better to focus on one area like Google Ads and specialise. For general digital marketing courses they are ok and give you some background BUT they don't teach you how to actually complete any of the tasks.

I still don't understand the difference between clicks and conversions.
A click would lead to a website, right? Then what a conversion would be? A click on a button inside the website, like an email form or whatsapp call? How to make it show on G Ads statistics?

Click means if somebody clicks your page.
Conversion means if somebody clicked AND successfully brought your product.
The simple difference is you may get 100 clicks but you will only get 10 conversions because only 10 people may buy your product.

Hi Aaron, I think your video is very informative and I like your teaching style. That being said, I hope you can use my honest feedback on your thumbnail. They only reason I clicked to watch your video is because your thumbnail was so bonkers, that I had to see if you were as crazy as you look in that thumbnail picture. So my immediate thought was that it was very click baity and I was very unsure of the degree of professionalism. Luckily, I was positively surprised, but usually I wouldn't click on something that I was so unsure of.

I was told you shouldn't have a menu on the landing page as distracts the visitor from your call to action, but I see from your examples that they have menus?
Hello Dr Anthony, I just released another video this week on Landing Pages which was part of a teaching we did from 10,360 user tests.
One thing these users tests brought out is that users prefer sites with menu’s especially mega menu’s which have subcategories etc.
I have also heard that about menu’s but unfortunately the recent data does not back that up

I know u mentioned how u included rival company names as negative key words, but I was wondering , if someone were to search for a rival company but our ad shows up instead , isn't that good for us? It's like a chance for our ads to be seen by others who might otherwise never heard of us . What's the logic for including rival company names as negative keyword ?
Someone explicitly searching for a competitor already has some sort of connection with that business, be it referral or a previous business relationship, which causes a bigger hurdle to get the click on your ad. It’s not a good spend of your ad budget.
What is the difference between a landing page and website? They look the same to me.
Hey Sally a landing page is a page on your website that you have designed specifically for people to come too from an ad.
For example:
-if you are selling different types of holiday villas you would run your ads for a 1 bedroom villa to your 1 bedroom villa landing page.
- while your ads for a 3 bedroom villa would go to your 3 bedroom villa page
It’s all about sending people to the “landing” page on your website which is going to give them the most relevant information

Landing page... or your offer... your page might be fine but your offer isn't something people really want.
What about some videos for ecommerce stuff? I can't make a landing page for all 81 different kayaks we sell and Google Ads hasn't done much for our store. Every video I see on products focuses on ONE product, which is rarely the case for any business owner.

that Bali Villa Website is not a good example for a high converting landingpage.
Unless there are no competitors at all 😉´Maybe they have nice photos, but everything else is not a high level, it's actually more basic level.
The Ems Page looks a lot better for sure as they use much better imagery. The Popup on the Batukarang Page is way too fast. The Live Google Feed is great trust Element but poorly executed on the Site. Your Google Ads content is great and at least you are showing examples here but to speak of a high level would be wrong if you ask me. What does everyone else think?
Well private pool villas and holiday resorts are trivial to convert. B2B services are much harder. For your examples, a good landing page with good copywriting is not even required 😂
The principles are solid but the landing page examples are not the best. CTA's should always be on the right and above the fold. When people read they follow a Z pattern and you want them to end up where they take the action.
