Most comprehensive and detailed tutorial I've seen on something like this, I'm a layman when it comes to utilizing computers for shooting other than the 4DOF app, I wrap white masking tape around my turret and then go to work with a fine tip sharpy marker. This definitely shows off your attention to detail and maybe a little OCD😊, but thanks for taking the time to put this content together!

@IMPACT SHOOTING it got me thinking about laser etched turrets and I was looking at Kenton industries website, not a turret, but on the accessories page they have a turret magnifier, looks like a little magnifying glass that bolts onto your scope in front of the turret, might be an interesting tool so you could use very small font and still see it clearly. Could add more information on the limited space on your ballistic tape. Just thought it was a neat idea, though may not be durable enough for hunting or PRS

Awesome! I use white electrical tape & a fine point sharpie marker. But it's really a matter of having a scope that is high enough quality or precision, so the clicks are accurate & repeatable enough to make it work! Great video! ✌️

I use the exact same system on all my rifles, very handy indeed!
For rifles where I use different loads a lot I printed it for the load I used most and just have an "equivalent drop" dope table for other loads.
A bit more complicated to print, but I also shifted my zero to be near the centre of the label so I don't have the ends joining on my zero.
Last tip - print label on blank stickers from stationary store - get water proof ones, or add a layer of clear/matt sticky tape over it to keep it intact on rainy days!
    Keep up the good work!

Excellent! I have done this years ago with my .22lr precision competition rifle and it works like a charm as long as the ammo is always kept constant. For those who hunt in dense woods this would be a God sent relief. One more improvement would be a vertical arrow that comes down down from the "Distance" number to the actual click position to make sure your eyes don't cheat you while dialing.

Hi Piet, great video. I had commented in another post that here in Chile we have a company that manufactures ballistic labels (PLENO!) because the problem of making them at home is the material, it fails with high temperatures or water and sometimes they roll off when you are in the field. Before I had tried others from USA (CTS). Do you have a company that manufactures them there in South Africa? More videos like this !!

Logical. I have the distance for each click on my turret. Might be small but I can see it. Just use strelok to work it out. One revolution(12moa) takes me to 600m which is more than enough for hunting. So I just range and dial.

ive been doing this the reverse way for a while. i have a few of the cheap BSA "sweet" scopes (we dont all have that vortex sponsor money, lol) with the turrets that come set for a few different ballistic profiles, but none of them are "accurate", so i make a standard moa dial for them.

Or get a revic pmr 428 find zero adjust ever 50 to 100 yards and engrave turret cap accordingly with laser engraver until you max out elevation. This works as a good back up if batteries for ballistic calculator die. So does a prs dope roller.
