I remember it from their live show at Metal Days 2014, where the whole time during "Wings" it was cloudy and rainy, then when "Opale" started playing, a single ray of sunshine would warm the singer's face.. After they were done with the song, the clouds were gone.. Just x_x
when I saw Slowdive at Field Day 2017 it started raining when they played Star Roving and stopped immediately when it finished, I reckon these shoegaze people are up to something
This song create a immense wall between Alcest and I. I was so disappointed, I couldn't listen to Alcest for months because of my bitterness. (I don't how I survived) Now, I'm ready to listen Alcest again but I really think this album is too different than the others, I can't find the same emotions except in "Délivrance".
+Prémon Mon Neige said we won't hear metal in Alcest anymore. The metal part we heard in Ecailles de Lune is over. But Shelter is not a bad album. I think it's better than Les Voyages de l'Ame. In LVDLA, it was a kind of hybrid state between metal and pure shoegaze and it gave the feeling that the songs didn't know where to go. Shelter is completely a shoegaze album and created in that way. Neige wanted to do something else, he did. The songs are taken for shoegaze, not for shoegaze/metal.
2024 and I'm still listening to this masterpiece. This band never dissapoints. Blessings from South Africa
This song makes me want to live a fulfilling life.
Did you guys notice that AMAZING transition from Wings to Opale? O_O
It was dank

Light, hope, goose bumps, peace and love.
Come to Brazil!
One of their best tracks. So blissful, it always makes me happy.
This is the sound of happiness
This is just frickin' beautiful.
El álbum más especial y único en la discografía de Alcest, asimismo uno de mis favoritos. Estos chicos cambiaron mi vida, y lo agradezco bastante.
Sounds like the gates of hell being swallowed by heaven.
Fucking hate advertisements interrupting a continuous album.
download ad block, man. Fast n' easy :P
I would assume that Joseph Stalin wouldn't be a fan of capitalist advertisements.
Buy the album then...
This song is so awesome
Reminds me of the bands from Thames Valley Scene Indie scene of the early nineties. eg Chapterhouse, Slowdive, Curve etc.
Very nice

Great band!
Another Masterpiece!
Je sais que nous ne sommes jamais seuls

Jaillisant des lointaines mers

Les vieilles ames tombées du ciel
Se révèlent en un torrent étoilè

beautiful

It's really not that much different than souvenirs really. All that's different is the drums. This album is gorgeous
Prémon Mon
I get that feeling, it happened to me when Deafheaven released that mediocre album last year.

Anyone know what tuning this song is in?
+Payton Wood 100% sure it's standard E, but can be played in any tuning around it
The whole album is half a step down
my first impression was U2. The guitarwork wouldn't be out of place there.
2:25
It sounds like church music
a bit.
This.Weed.Loud.
parece música de comercial, e é muito bom
what a lame album
what a lame comment
Ur a bitch
