i really like this pack. i cant walk around with all my edc carry gear in my POCKETS (knife,lite,multi-tool,keys,wallet and everything else) its much too heavy and unorganized but with this pack close by i could carry all that and then some!
I just loop the lanyard through a roll of electrical tape and put that in the back pocket. That seemed helpful so it doesn't get away from me when i use it
Good stuff mate I'm going to buy one, but don't ever show people how many pens you have, also good idea to get a neck tattoo that says "NO PEN" or you're just asking to be the spare pen guy.

The lanyards are for securing things into the pouch pockets or elastic holders that you don't want to stray, like a torch or money capsules.
I use the lanyards for tape rolls. One roll of 1" Gorilla tape, and one roll of foot tape.
