In many ways, it is an impressive radio. The chief problem is that it overloads easily with an external antenna. The other thing I find annoying is the tuning speed. If you turn the tuning knob fast, it tunes at 5 kHz, and turning slowly gives 1 kHz. The problem is that it's very aggressive in switching between them and it's hard to maintain 5 kHz to manually scan the bands. That's one reason why the video is done using the automated scanning. Thanks for that. I started to make the video hand holding my iPhone, but then I thought that since it was going to be long, I'd get my tripod and phone mount. Using the tripod also gives me two hands free to both hold and manipulate the controls.

Thanks for this. I ordered mine before the recall and should be here soon - I can't wait!
Wow! All using just the whip, and in daylight hours? Impressive.
Mine should be here soon.
Thanks for demonstrating this.

That's impressive for daytime SW reception.
Mine is pretty sensitive, too, but you seem to get a lot of signals where you live.
