I love this ship. But I would have liked it even more if they swapped out the marvel restaurant to a pirate restaurant. They needed more pirate themed stuff since it’s “treasure”.
I’m really into this esthetic! I hope the Jungle Cruise bar doesn’t get dumbed down anymore than it already is. It needs some more pizazz and maybe a tiki bird! I guess the Marvel restaurant is the new animators palate for this fleet of new ships 🚢
I wasn’t a huge fan of the marvel restaurant on the wish. I wish they would have made it a Star Wars restaurant instead and I think it would’ve fit the adventure theme a little better. Super excited for the coco restaurant. I hope they have amazing Mexican food. I’m also hoping the hyperspace lounge will be a haunted mansion bar. I liked the hyperspace lounge but the space was really small and they could’ve done a lot better theming
My daughter and I just got off of the Disney Wish and it was beautiful, however, I liked the Disney Dream better! So, I'm not looking forward to the Disney Treasure being (pretty much) a duplicate of the Disney Wish.
@@joefields719 Even though the food on the pool deck area is better on the Wish, the food in the 3 main dining rooms were definitely better on the Dream....also 1923 was SO cramped that we were pretty much almost sitting on the people behind us! They did NOT do that layout well! Maybe, if they didn't divide it into 2 dining rooms, there would be more space....the adult pool area was also better on the Dream with more space in the pool and surrounding the pool.
So the small Quiet Cove area that was on the Wish is on the Treasure? People complained that it was WAY TOO SMALL compared to the other Disney ships. Also, people complained that instead of being at the front of the ship, they are at the aft end of the ship, and next to the water coaster, making Quiet Cove a not so quiet place for adults. I thought these issues would have been resolved.
I agree plus the only hot tub was near the entrance of the slide and a distance from the Cove. Definitely disappointed they didn't factor guest feedback.
@@arleenblackstone7627 How about YOU GET REAL! The facts ARE THERE! Number one, you CAN CLEARLY see a difference between Quiet Cove on the older ships vs. the new Disney Wish, and soon to be Treasure. Oh, and by the way, I HAVE sailed with Disney Cruise Line before, and Passion Cove takes up literally a big chunk of the front section behind the concierge sun deck. So yeah, I HAVE a valid point. Get real! And there have been SEVERAL video reviews where people have said that Passion Cove is much smaller than that of the Disney ships. And the new Quiet Cove being located next to the water coaster is a lot noiser than that of the older Quiet Coves. On the older ships (Magic Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy), Quiet Cove is located at the front of the ship, where the water coaster is located at the middle. Again, get rail. I know from experience.
I think that since the Disney wish replaced the Disney dreams itinerary of 3 and 4 day cruises from port Canaveral, I expect the treasure to replace the fantasy’s itinerary of 7 night cruises
I would think that the Wish was a “Trial” ship to see if the new style worked or not. It had multiple issues according to customer feedback yet on ship 2 of Triton class, they fixed none of the problems. I think DCL is losing their touch on Triton class and the original 4 ships will remain the favorites.
Sailed on the Wish, never again, the layout of these ships and lack of elevators made trying to move between floors aggravating, elevators are narrow and crowded, and to top it of as someone with mobility issues, you have to “hope” the right elevator opens to take you to the adult area of the ship! As only the last two elevators reach the top floors !I have stood and waited 15 minutes to try and get to the adult area. Same mistake on Treasure, cram in more cabins and eliminate an entire bank,of elevators
I heard something about a new Disney ship coming to southeast Asia, I don't suppose there's any news about that? I'd love to take a trip from here in Australia but if a newer Disney ship will be coming here soon rather than the Disney Magic that's here now, I'd much prefer to wait for that!
I'm sorry but I have to say it - the forward funnel room was not a good idea. Basically, for the most expensive room on the ship, you have no balcony and your view looks straight out at people looking at you from outside. I remember being at the smoothie bar on the Wish and looking in at that room. You could tell the guests inside felt exposed. I also agree that they should not have ported the Marvel dining room. There wasn't much interactivity to that event - just push a button on your glowing lamp. I was really hoping they would have gone back to the drawing board on the room theming. The other disappointment of the Wish was the Sports activity room. Other than the bounce house obstacle course, I felt it was a waste of good space. Regarding pools, I think the adult pool will suffer the same overcrowded problem of the Wish. They should have given that stern pool area to the Teens as their space, and sacrificed paid spa area in the bow area for an open access adult pool. I do like the blue theming to the main atrium over that of the Wish. But I agree with others, the first 4 ships with their art nouveau/art deco motif was THE winning formula. Classics are classic for a reason.
Even though I'm kind of a "fan no matter what".....I think your analysis of the forward funnel room and theming is probably correct. Bummer. I'm still pretty excited to give it a go! But yeah....they could have used you (or someone thinking a bit more logically!) in Cruise Imagineering! LOL!
I’m not interested in going on a Disney Cruise myself in the future, but I just read on Wikipedia that one of the future ship names after this one will be “Disney Adventure”. I also think that there should be two other ships called “Disney Imagination” and “Disney Believe”!
I know places like Edge had a more colorful aesthetic and Vibe had a modern nyc style on the Wish, do we know if that’s different for the Treasure or the same?
Global class / Disney Adventure, going to be amazing when it’s finished in 2025 will be the 7th ship in the fleet I believe , Sad it’s sister ship was never 💯% complete before it was scrapped
DCL has learned absolutely nothing from the short-comings of the Wish. What's the difference between the Wish and the Treasure? Plaza de Coco and the paint. The Treasure is DCL putting lipstick on a pig. Yes, the blueprints for the structure were done years ago and it would take significant time and re-engineering to change the layout of the spaces, but DCL, in my opinion, has put absolutely ZERO effort into the Treasure except for picking out décor and room furnishings. How do you keep the Disney bean counters happy while giving DCL guests the shaft? That's easy, keep everything the same! To all the DCL imagineers involved with this...some truly awe-inspiring imagination going on here! To all the current DCL executives, make like Bob Chapek and be gone!!! Just like Disney+, the Triton class is sinking fast.
We're booked for Feb 2025 but we won't be eating at Marvel. That is by far my least favourite restaurant on all of the ships. We'll book Palo or do the buffet instead on those nights.
Disney has recently started calling the newest ship class the Wish class. Maybe it had to do with the Bob Chapek since it's only been since Bob Iger returned to Disney that they started calling it the Wish class like the Dream and Magic Class' before them. I would also wager that Disney does not really intend to add 3 and 4 night cruises to the Treasure's sailings for quite some time. I would expect that the Wish and Treasure will mirror how the Dream and Fantasy operated for their early years. They both operated their set schedules of 3 and 4 nights for the Dream, and the Fantasy would do 7 nights with some longer cruises every year like 8, 9 or 10 night southern Caribbean sailings. It was only in more recent years that they both began to switch their patterns a bit. I recall that the Dream and Fantasy (pre-pandemic) began switching itineraries and destinations with the Dream doing some Caribbean cruises and the Fantasy doing Bahamian sailings. It will probably be quite some time until we see the Wish and Treasure switch their patterns since it took years for that to happen to the Dream class. I don't think the Wish has done more than 4 night sailings with the exception of one I heard being 5 nights around it's inaugural if I remember correctly. Well, I do remember the Wish had to extend a sailing last year because there was a hurricane too close to Port Canaveral but that's pretty much to only time that they will have longer cruises for the Wish.
It has nothing to do with with Chapek or Iger. The Magic and Wonder are the "Magic-class", the Dream and Fantasy are the "Dream-class" and the Wish, Treasure and yet-to-be-named #3 ship will always be the "Triton-class", there is no "Wish class". The "class" is used for the sole purpose of representing the size.
@@radcrubmx583 Disney has started referring to them as "Wish-class." I believe it started when they announced that the Global Dream will be sailing from Singapore and they felt the need to verify that it will not be part of the "Wish-class." Triton-class doesn't even sound right for a Disney ship anyway. The first two classes were called what the first ship was anyway, so it doesn't fit for them to be called Triton.
