- In a previous LIVE discussion, some drivers claimed Uber Eats does not pay for order cancellations so in this video, UDM calls Uber eats to prove there is a way to receive a cancellation fee when you drive to a restaurant and the order was taken by another driver.

Dealing with these people on "support" is a straight up hassle 24/7. helpful or not
I do this often. It also works when the restaurants are closed etc.
I know for me when I was working late night hours I had a lot of closed restaurants Uber told me my account has been blocked for receiving cancelation pay. I was told they have a certain amount they are allowed to give it, but they weren't able to tell me what that amount was.
no wonder i stopped receiving mine recently. I thought it was just because of the NYC laws
Some are saying they’ve never received it at all but in your case I understand why they blocked you
I do the same thing that UDM just did. I don't do this for the $3.00. I do this so that another driver doesn't have to inconvenience themselves and sent to pickup these fake orders.
Me too…I hate it when these orders are just floating around in the queue
I always ask for a Supervisor (before 1AM CT when they go home) and get paid more than $3 more often than not.

Y’all you can use the chat with rep option. They’ll still cancel and give you a cancellation fee! Jsyk if y’all didn’t.
I don’t even talk to a rep, just the automated chat. Takes like 15 seconds or less…BOOM, on to the next!
I always make sure to get the cancellation fee, I have been doing this for years with uber eats, $3 if you waited less than 10min $4 for more than 10min, and I have noticed that sometimes you will get $4 or $5 even with less 10 min waiting, just yesterday I received $5 for cancelling walmart order for just waiting 5min, the only time you don't get the fee if the reason is not willing to wait longer.

Majority of the time I contact support regarding an issue with the store to cancel the order, I’m told “ looking at your account we noticed you have received a significant number of miscellaneous payments” therefore we can’t offer compensation for this trip. It happened to me today, but the second time they did compensate me, so I don’t understand the game they’re playing. So it’s a gamble for me to waste time to call support to get a cancellation fee or NOT. Does anyone else experience the same?
And the truth to be told I never have any miscellaneous payments on my account. I barely ever get $3 cancellation fee 🤦🏻♀️
Some people WONT do this cause its 3 dollars but to me 3 DOLLARS way better than NO DOLLARS my opinion
