Best use case: I put an LED strip along the staircase and connect it to the motion sensor above and below the staircase, so it lights up the whole staircase when people walk up or down the stairs. My mom cannot see very well in the dark and had a few injuries from walking down the stairs at night. She is very happy with the installation and felt much safer walking on the stair at night now being able to see each step she makes!

Best Use Case: Setting a colour temperature with an alarm to wake up to!
Just for those who are going to use this review... Opard ones are great the first couple weeks of so but over time they are really poor. Keep losing connection and they just keep failing. If you try to use the strips around your bed or tv the connections keep breaking. Just avoid them at all cost!
Best use: to cover my toilet seat

Best use case for me is more of an ambient and atmospheric light, i like to game but don't always like having my harsh Room lights on and LEDs just for-fill the requirement that combined with the ease of use, mountability and cost make the excellent choice of light.
Govee does have smart rgb led strips and they just stomp all over these last 2 led strips you reviewed , They get far brighter and more colorful with more functions.

My best use is for around my desk or tv. These will be useful as I am going to university soon.
Best use case: Ambient lighting for the TV. I would use Home Assistant to automate it only to turn on when its after sunset.
I just graduated from college, and I invested in a desk set up with Ikea Alex drawers and it is a dream come true! Been going through financial issues but want to keep upgrading my set up! I'd love to have the strips behind the desk and monitor to raise the vibe levels to MAX!

@@hweezy9570 it's not the bulb that's broke, the whole light fitting came off the roof and so it doesn't work with any bulb so the led strip would be much appreciated

APC999!!! Omg. How'd u do that 😂😂😂. Also yeah an electrician would be really expensive. Like £50 for the parts and like £100 labor if not more. Get a good led set that can also be controlled by your phone ( the controllers tend to be shit) and it will cost way less then sorting that out

Wish you would have still talked about the lights that didn’t have “smart” functionality. I don’t use smart devices, Bluetooth is all I want and would have liked too see how all the LED’s worked out.

Difference between the 2 Govee, one is dreamcolor (multiple colors can be displayed at the same time) and the other is regular(one color at a time). They are both smart led strips that works with Alexa not ur google home. The quality and the options u can do with govee is way more than than opard and lumary

The govee ones work with Alexa and its also sound activated so lights interact with sound. I have them and they are great!!

My favourite is WenTop. I use these LED strips. The app is amazing and really easy to use and when I had an issue with mine they have sent one out for no cost. Overall I’m really happy with the light strips and they are smart too. I have the 2x5M led strips FYI.

I'm going to put some strips behind my bedframe (all white bedroom set up) to make some light really pop as well as put some behind my tv to enhance my tv setup (also a white theme).

The Govee Dream Color IC LEDS have smart control and assistant integration and would be way better than the others as the are individually addressed in groups of 3 leds. Perhaps do a 2021 update?

@@xz440 i would definetly recommend getting rgbic or dreamcolour lights, the lights are amazing, the app is simple, their interaction with other people is amazing, there are govee points in the app that get you real products for kinda free if you earn enough points, user made diys etc

I would use them to do up my little brothers bedroom who has just finished his chemo therapy for cancer and he was so brave so I would really love to give him something to be happy about after months of sadness and terrifying hospital visits

I'd use them with ittt for notifs and other information. Throw a diffusing bit of frosted acrylic over them and have their brightness set to 0 during the night, and higher when I'm awake. What's the allergen level like? from red to green it'd tell me when i wake up. how hot is it going to be? same deal. Traffic? rinse and repeat. just have little squares with a tasteful label and housing for each one, and I could still set them to flash pink when a rideshare arrives, the mail comes, when the doorbell rings, or when a timer I set goes off.
