WOW!!! George is spot on! Our generation and the generation that is coming after us does not know what hard work is. Times have definitely changed from when our parents taught us. People now only look out for themselves and how to get ahead. We as black people have got it bad while other race are surpassing us; meaning that when one black person made it some forget where they started from and at like they got there by themselves. We as people are not educating the ones that are coming after us because we are so focused on self and some other person taken our spot. Once we come to the realization that this thing call life did not begin with us, and the things that we are trying to accomplish will still be here once we are dead and gone. We as people must power up and stop being ignorant! I want to see us a black people be great the way God has intended for us to be!

I love that the Holy Spirit lead you to those scriptures. We are in that generation as I read Daniel out loud not the chapter just that part it's prophecy yes but we have become weak and we are knowledgeable of God but many don't know him 1 because they won't spend time with him.

Really enjoyed this convo..Both sides have valid points. Part of the why Millenials are the way they are is because the previous generation didn't prepare us properly for so many things. We were given so many things. However, we have easy access to a wealth of information and it's time for us to figure out our paths to create a better future for the next generation

Good conversation, I love they didn't all have the same opinions.
As a Gen Z person, I love millennials and look up to them for being the first generation to leave a job if it is toxic. Previous generations were of a different mindset that they had to do what was necessary regardless if they liked the job or not, which is admirable. But millennials are the generation of multiple side hustles and entrepreneurship, generational curse breakers and because of them Gen Z and Gen Alpha value being woke, self-care, finding unique pathways, redefining success, and being passionate about the work that they do.
Shout out to the millennials, ya'll are the blueprint for us.
For those who may be confused by my post, I am 21, which is Gen Z.
Gen Alpha is around 10 years and younger.
There are currently millionaires who are 9/10 years old, Gen Z and Gen Alpha are super innovators because of our Millennials who paved the way and the work ethic from the generations of yesteryear. We have combined those skills in order to create space for ourselves in a world that we have constantly been disenfranchised in. We didn't like the game, so we changed the rules.
We no longer have to work ourselves to death at jobs that don't appreciate us, we can create our own.
We can create our own culture that uplifts communities of color, sets our own standards, and doesn't tell us that our hair is "unprofessional".
I love the many options that we have in our current SOCIETY, not generation because we are all living in the same time period. We have unique perspectives because of our individuality, not solely because of our generations. Anyone from this epoch has the ability to step out on their own unlike any other time period.
ALSO, SUCCESS IS NOT DEFINED BY DEGREES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are not required to relegate yourself to some monolithic category in order to be deemed as successful.
That thought process is so deleterious to the development of our people.

We have become more wicked and wiser. It's important to be careful what we condone especially in this generation. I'm a millennial but one thing to know is that if we keep condoning and compromising with so much of what the world is doing then we'll just start to accept a whole lot of mess and also tarnish and dirty up, and stray away from our relationship with the Lord.
