Elixir is the longest lasting scent you’ll prob ever buy and will get you the most compliments every time you wear it, it smells like a real man. If Elixir was a man it would be James Bond.

To be honest, I was expecting that Elixir would get less points. But anyway the BDC win is clear. Even if a thousand of ladies would test it again BDC would win. Elixir is a kind of strange fragrance, a love-or-hate I'd say. Thanks for the video.
Elixir won big on curly fragrance channel so its not the truth you speak. But its all subjective ofcourse as we see.
@@carlandersson2778To be honest, I don't trust Curly Fragrance chanel. She is the one who says that the right way to apply our fragrance is to apply 15-20 sprays .But anyway I agree with you that it's all subjective. Thanks.
@@anastasiosmitropoulos1989 thats silly it won on ccfragrances to. Not that i should care about this stuff but i think its like Jeremy says about the overspraying. Do one spray on one hand and 10 on the other and it will still last about the same. So overspraying is not so smart.

Max, thank you for this video. Cooperation with people is more demanding. I appreciate your enthusiasm and effort. I personally like both fragrances, but Dior Sauvage Elixir is more interesting in my opinion, not just a typical blue fragrance.

Truly THE fragrance
BDC is kinda one if my signature scents, but I also own Elixir. I can tell you though that the Elixir smells different on a strip compared to skin.

Interesting clip. I have both, but they’re so different. BDC EDP is a classic. However, Elixir is more complex. For eg, the opening notes of Elixir are powerful but it’s the dry down when it comes into its own. The lavender notes are gorgeous and the projection is amazing! 2-3 sprays are enough for me, though. I recently visited a relative and a voice from upstairs asked “what are you wearing?!” The scent travelled upstairs! Elixir is a masterpiece (imo) but I appreciate that it’s a polarising aftershave.
I sprayed one ☝️ time and someone at work was like damn you smell good what are you wearing 😂
Great video Max ! I expected Bleu to win but Elixir was surprising how well it did despite going down in defeat. Elixir doesn't work for me, expecially at the prices they are asking. Keeping those lovely Sweedish ladies coming Big Man.!
I dont care what the ladies think, I wear Sauvage Elixir and I love to smell my self all the freaking day 😂And it lasts 12+ hours. I am sure Chanel is gone after 2 hours or at least you cant smell it on your self. I am so tired of weak short lasting perfumes.

Most of the Chanel fragrances allure you with awesome top notes, but their performance is abysmal.

Interesting, not too bad of a turnout for Elixir against one of the all-time great mass-pleasers. A decent competition. I figured Chanel would win. It is very classy and casual. Both are great, I think.
@ParisDubaiSoho That is true. I wouldn’t really disagree with that. In my opinion, I like Elixir more and I have said that actually before. I like it for its strength and amazing drydown and I think it is very intoxicating. I just said that about Chanel because it really is a quality mass-pleaser, not that I am a big fan of that. There will also be much less people wearing Elixir.
@ParisDubaiSoho it's not really a fair comparison. BDC is in the top 3 most mass appealing fragrances on earth. Elixir is more refined more masculine than BDC . Elixir is a bold fragrance not everybody can pull this off. Also the EDP of BDC smells a lil bit feminine. Overall Elixir is way way better than any Chanel currently
I will add my personal experience. BDC 10? I've worn Elixir since it came out, 1-3 times a week. There has not been a single time when i have not recieved a compliment for it. Literally i was mind blown, because first try i didn't like it, but it's all in the sillage. It is an insane crowd pleaser. And i'm no sauvage fan or enthusiast. BDC? Cannot stand its scent, hugely overrated, and compliment factor for it was close to zero. Elixir is annoyingly one of my most complimented fragrances. Also you can forget what reviewers say about sauvage, or the community's opinion. The EDP is the best out of the EDP-EDP-Parfum, and it will make you smell amazing. Also most people have no clue about fragrances, just like a very few will notice that you actually wear a rolex.
And there it is, the 4 words I never want to hear from a girl I’m interested in. I don’t want a “smells like my ex” fragrance. Even if they like it

I have both as well. Personally, I like BDC better as a scent.
I like Elixir a lot because it lasts longer and the smell is also very good.
Both are excellent in every way.
Elixir probably smells better and releases the smell outside so well that it can be well perceived and by those around.
But with all that, I think that BDC has a special specific smell, which expresses more personality, elegance, but not something in competition with other perfumes.
Although I personally like BDC better, and the test done on the street without knowing the names of the perfumes is the most real test, but even in this mode there is a little confusion.
Usually, the perfume presented and smelled first has a greater chance of invigorating the secondary one, because already smelling a perfume and the nose still being fed and connected to the previous smell, it is more difficult to distinguish the smell and the peculiarities of the secondary one.
I tried this with the same perfumes at work with some colleagues, and only one person chose twice differently, once A once B, the first smelled of both tests.
I noticed this a long time ago. If you try it yourself, you will be convinced.
Choose two perfumes numbered A and B and when you start the test start with A. Then, the same test with the same perfumes, start with B.
And you will notice that out of 10 people, at least 7 choose the perfume they smelled first.
I knew bdc would win because its just more mass pleasing blue fresh type of scent while elixir is more mature and "niche" smelling.

Although it was a people's choice, I personally think it was not fair to compare the two because Bleu for me is a summer frag while Elixir is more of a winter frag.
I think both are bangers, best of the best for each season cause it simply comes down to the fact that one is strictly a cold weather fragrance (Elixir), and the other is perfect for summer (BDC edt).
haven't tried the elixir yet but after the original savauge I personally can't expect anything good from its flankers as well.

I wear both of them & this is what I can say.
Truthfully, BDC is the classier but i love Elixir more.
Why?
I wear four sprays with the strong confidence of a pleasant scent trail for the entire day.
Whereas, with BDC, a reapplication would be necessary yet it is awkward for a man to move with a perfume in the bag.
Hence, I wear BDC for occasions(Such as church & meetings) which don't exceed 6 hrs - because of its longevity. issues.
But i receive massive compliments with both.
Better to own both.

Awesome channel, most fragrance review channels rarely do reactions / compliment tests but yours does it all the time with many different combinations. Good stuff. Also seems like everyone in Sweden speaks english already

Bleu de Chanel, amazing opening. Come back a couple of hours later and you would smell very little. ELIXIR is the complete opposite, you'd still smell it 24 hours later !

My favorite parfume this BLEU DE CHANEL edp.
I'm surprised Elixir even received the votes it did. That is a very decisive scent. Anyone considering it should buy a decant first. This smell last a long time and can become very annoying after a few hours.

I live in a warmer climate so I own BDC EDT and I really enjoy it. Haven't gotten my nose on Elixir though so I need to test it out to see what all the hype is about. Great review man!

BDC EDT fades TOO quickly (last 20 minutes) and becomes a skin sent without a dry down. It's very weak !!!

Let me warn you with the elixir that the magic is in the drydown. It's smells better with time. Idk what it is about it. It's a very basic fragrance. It's not exotic, but it smells so damn good for some reason. Idk why, though? It's not fruity, sweet, woody, oudy, or tropical. Like nothing about it is exotic, but for some reason, the shit just smells amazing.

I put on the elixir at around dinner. Woke up the next morning and it still smelled almost like when I first applied it. Still prefer the BdC tho. Also montblanc explorer smells better than the dior

The most revealing thing in this video: If there is more than one girl in the group, the other will almost always agree with whatever the first one said and almost all ratings fall within 7-8. I think this is because people lean towards a safe choice to avoid being disagreeable and creating conflict with their friends. Also it seems like having a very attractive presenter to do these street interviews is much easier than average looking men asking strange women for an interview, lol.
The most important factor is to create a "safe and attractive atmosphere" for her. Ladies pay attention to details.. to all your words, to your body shape, body language, how you radiate… But how do you smell?! (If you've showered and don't smell like sweat) your perfume’s smell is probably the last thing they care about.

Super interesting video, women from more tropical-ish countries prefer sauvage and woman from the nordic countries seem to be more into “classy” fragrances, not sure if you can extrapolate this into a more macro analysis, would be interesting for sure

BDC doesn’t project that well off my skin and it’s sweet… gives me VIP 212 vibes. Elixir is my pick cause it smells rough and tough and projects better for me 😊

Wow I'm surprised it lost to Bleu, Elixir beats the edt and edp original normally in fragrance battles. So I assumed it would definitely best Bleu as that normally gets beat by Sauvage EDT.

BDC is a hall-of-fame fragrance, and Elixir is destined for that status.
This comparison is not really fair for either scents. They are both amazing scents imo. It would be better to compare BDC parfum to Sauvage elixir. Or Spicebomb extreme to Elixir.

I love BDC EDP got 150ml finally for £100 I'm not paying crazy money for Sauvage Elixir so got Asad instead for £26 and actually prefer it to Sauvage Elixir

I have elixir, the explosion 2 hours, small god maximum 1 hour, small very good after 1 hour, total small good 1 hour +5 - 6 hours small very good =7 hours. Small very intensive 5 hours, and if put inside the jacket the smaller is there 12 hours.

Ok by any chance does anyone know that Chanel Parfum lasts longer than edp and they smell same ?? I already own elixir
For me all 3 are somewhat similar but both the edt and the parfum last longer and project more the the edp the parfum is a masterpiece much richer and deeper

Elixir in the far dry down smells pretty good but the opening and for most of its duration I just get a spicy piney/dry vetiver with a hit of the savauge dna and I don’t dig it lol

@@godmode2461 so my take on this has changed the more and more I smelled it. I really like it right off the bat now. Very nice deep aromatic spicy scent with a touch of freshness. Actually even like a clone frag more called Asad. Very close in smell just less in your face with a touch of sweetness to round it off more

BD is just art. Sauvage is overpowering chemicals.

I've said the same thing. As someone who collects them, I can honestly say that every fragrance is overrated to an extent. And I've noticed anything to smell good is only an 8 or maybe a 9 lost of the time. Every now and then, you'll get Aten. But the vast majority of women and men always say something is an 8 if it smells good.
Is it worth having both or are they to similar?
They are completely different scents so you can own both if you like them.
