"YOU'RE NOT SPARGO, YOU'RE EDDY"
This had my DYING LMFAOOO
mans really playing as if we were in the grand finals 😅
YES YES YES YES YES THE LEVEL UP
THE GOAT RIGHT HERE!!
Hey wanted to say congrats on hitting 2 mil gsp. Contrary to what the smash community says, its really impressive to reach 2 mil gsp and imo anyone at 2 mil gsp can three-stock any casual smash player. My advice for you moving forward is to focus on using low-commitment attacks such as tilts, and if possible, aerials since smash attacks and other high-commitment attacks will put you into a cool-down animation for a longer period of time, which will allow your opponents to hit you easier. Also, I would recommend trying to space out your attacks more by hitting your opponents with the edge of the sword as much as you can so your opponents will not be able to approach you. Doing these two things helped me go from 1.9 mil gsp to 12 mil gsp with Lucina. Keep up the good work and keep grinding.
PS: That pikachu player that was edge guarded you was probably smurfing. I wouldn't get to discouraged if you play those type of players since there will be less smurfs after 3 mil gsp.
Thank you! Shulk's F smash was very addicting to use but I know that's not feasible for higher level play. The spacing is something that will definitely take time since I'm still getting acclimated! Also, I don't mind smurfs, just more lessons to be learned :)
This was a ton of fun to watch! If i had to give one piece of advice, it would be to practice your characters combos in the training room. Having a good punish game will get you really far in smash. IzawSmash has made really good character breakdowns with combos if you want a reference. For a good character to learn next, I'd suggest Mario or Lucina. Both of them have easy to grasp playstyles and the combos you can learn with them can transfer over to the majority of the roster. Lastly, controlling your mental state is the greatest asset you can have to improve! Dont get frustrated, its just a game; if you feel yourself getting mad, take a break for a bit. Good luck! I cant wait to see another video 😁
Thank you for the comment!! I admit that I haven't spent enough time just training, so I'll definitely do this more going into the next video. And yes I've heard of IzawSmash, currently trying to learn microspacing with various characters :)
I haven't played Lucina yet but I enjoy watching Mario air combos! Regarding the mental, I've noticed while filming this video that having a clear mindspace going in is everything. Usually I can play games like Overwatch, Valorant, etc. when a little tilted but for Smash... forget about it LOL . Thanks again!
Really cool seeing a newer player actually try to adapt and create new good habits, so heres a few tips I can say: Try out some stuff for landing mixups, right now it seems that you sometimes drift around after getting hit and just let yourself get hit. I dont know shulk well at all, but some generall things for that, try jumping, airdodging (especially mixing up the direction, neutral airdodge is very good), using aireals like nair to cover your landing, and rarely throw in a counter. Really just find what works for you and mix it up. 2 i would say your recovery, its kind of the same as landing, mix it up, throw in some aireals, airdodges, and some rare counters. Lastly, focus a lot on spacing, short hop fairs, nairs, and especially bair with shulk has a ton of range. For being newer though, great stuff! It seems like youll figure this stuff out in no time anyways
thank you for the tips!! i definitely struggle with what to do after getting hit and end up eating combos. will try this out :)
@mainbeach do you stream because I would love to see you lvl up live
P.S. I think you should learn how to play Kirby
P.S.S. I love your setup
Aw thank you for the kind words! I do stream, Wednesday/Thursday at 6:30PM PST (link is in the description). I do open arenas Thursdays!!
high level player here! as you get better, try to play with people you can have a conversation with (offline or online). if you base how good you are in ultimate on gsp you will end up feeling horrible and not improve at all.
100 percent, this challenge high key sucked LOL but as I mentioned in the video, that was the only way for me to have a measurement for progress. don't plan on having GSP challenges in future ones :)
i know the prompt said no swords, and i can see your hatred for the character, but i believe cloud is a perfect character for learning the fundamentals of the game. having a disjoin teaches you how to use your spacing, his strong graound and aerial moves tech you how to get damage and kills, his moveset and speed allows you to play offensively and defensively, i believe learning this character will give you a headstart in learning how to play a variety of the cast and teach you different aspects of the game
very true, ass recovery though
My prompt stemmed from not liking Shulk so I wanted to take a break from all swordies. However, I'll take your advice into consideration. Thank you for the comment!
W smash video. Road to 3 million GSP? 👀
maybe with another character 👀
One piece of advice that always helps and took me forever to learn myself, is that you don't always have to run forward when playing smash, sometimes running backwards is better...
For sure, thank you for the advice 😃
Congrats on joining Moist! I can't believe how far you've gone in just a few months. 💦
LOL very premature celebration. I'm not part of Moist, just a fan.. for now ;)
Your videos are super cool! Love from the Philippines !
Ahh thank you! Proud Filipino :)
also, SLAAAAY
🤘 *Promosm*
At the moment I get above average tournament results. Like around 3-2 is my personal average.
Even know I did the going slightly higher up against cpus years ago it was fun to watch. I'm teaching 2 players smash right now.
That's awesome, congrats on your progress so far!
@@mainbeach Thank you! Also something that helps me a lot is focusing on 1 thing to improve on for about a week, sometimes a few weeks.
I think for Shulk 2 extremely important skills to learn is movement and spacing. Movement is just important no matter what so is spacing but having a sword means you can better take advantage of being beyond arms reach.
Buy a Shulk Amiibo. 1: he is very cute. 2: i find the CPU's a lot more adaptable and they basically get smarter the better you get.
I'm a bit scarred from Shulk after these 2 videos HA but maybe in the future when I revisit him. I didn't know that about the CPU's , very cool!
@@mainbeach
Fair enough lol, you should make one on my main Ness. His recovery is strange but he's really rewarding after a bit.

I love watching this and visibly seeing her improve! I've been struggling as well on elite smash and never thought about doing a ditto training with my character
thank you!! I wasn't sure how experienced players would take this trick, but I figured it couldn't hurt sharing
Que the training montage!!
