- This video is a look at the Nova Orion DVR Lathe and the beginning of my journey with this tool. This thing was on backorder for 10 MONTHS before it shipped to me. I have to say it was a long wait but well worth it! I am exceedingly happy with this lathe and hope to share a lot of projects that I make with it. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
Very nice video. Looks like a great lathe, and it has the most important characteristic, you like it! Keep on turning,
Thank you! I hope you enjoy some of the turning as well. Cheers!
Nice looking Lathe, I hope it works well for you. I’ll check out your videos for sure. Thanks for sharing with us.
Take care! 👍
Thanks for the comment and visit! Enjoy! :)
I have the original Nova/ Record power DRV-XP lathe and i love it, still going strong, the power loss compensation feature can't be beaten.
Awesome! Nothing better than a solid product!
Very cool intro. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the visit!
I just bought that machine, thanks for the info. Nice work. Had Nova II 16x24
Awesome! I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoy mine! Cheers!
I have had a Nova Orion for about 2 years. I do mostly bowls and containers. Very little spindle work. So far the lathe has performed very well and I am very happy with it. However I find the audible warnings annoying and unnecessary. I wish there was someway to delete them. I also wish the ON/Off buttons were more tactile. Otherwise, a very good lathe.
I can definitely see the value of disabling the audible warnings as I use the tool more and more. I do also find a small hiccup with the On button sometimes...I find myself having to hold the button a little longer than I would expect for it to turn on. Thank you for stopping by and checking out the video! Cheers!
Nice
BTW, thank you for stopping by! I know it has been a bit since you commented, but wanted to respond. Cheers!

Awesome, thank you! Looking forward to getting more posted! Cheers!
@@nullcycle good luck!
Unfortunately, wait until you have an issue and you need to get help from teknatool, parent company, they are horrible I’m sorry to say. It took me 3 weeks of calling every day just to get ahold of anyone. Non existent customer service…
I totally understand. Thanks for the feedback!
