Great video. I'm new to BJJ and like the idea of the easy flow rolls. But as a bigger guy I always find myself squashing my partner and not really having an idea of what to do next.
Try to contain your partner and allowing him to move when it’s into a submission
I wish all rolling partners were like this, this is how you learn!
Great video, I’m trying to learn to relax and let the roll take me where it wants to go like you.
Thank you! I truly believe that is the path to injury free, skill development.
7:40 not a sweep (it did not come from a guard). Escape or reversal.
I didn’t realize it had to come from a guard. Interesting
Always a great flow with Mike !
YEs brother! Hope to see you soon
I’m 42 & have been doing Bjj for only 4 months.. all I seem todo is pick up injuries rather than technique 🤦🏻♂️
the lastest was a double eye poke which was fun 😂🤷🏻♂️
So the defense for the double eye poke can be seen on the Three Stooges. lol. Seriously though. Just roll in a less competitive manner. When I roll with a young blue/purple belt competitor I usually let them pass my guard. Because fighting to retain guard against a younger stronger opponent leads to injuries.
Good stuff! I like this pace.
