It is a Universal Law that if anyone removes a Moral Law and Order Foundation, they will end up with a Dystopian Societal Structure as the stable type of foundation the society had, has been fractured and removed. Do this to any large structure (especially a Nation) and you will 100% of the time end up with Desolation. I'll tell you how Maher changed. In his shows he used to sit back moderate, and pose questions to really interesting round table discussions, and only occasionally injected his own thoughts/biases. But now the entire show is basically him monologuing, speaking over people, and injecting his take over anything/everything he has ANY objections to.
At one time Politically Incorrect, and Real Time, were good like that, but really, now, it's all just "Bill Time" with friends.

In this journey of life, many many people simply get off the train at a certain stop, and then loiter there for the remainder of their lives, ideologically. Bill Maher strikes me as that kind of guy. He no longer wants to go forward. That's also the ongoing problem with the overwhelming majority of political geriatrics and nursing home residents we have in Washington. They deliberately hold back progress because they otherwise feel irrelevant.

Somebody should point out to Maher that equating current student protests as support for Hamas would be like equating the Vietnam protests to support for the VietCong or Communism or Russia. The Vietnam War era students were protesting the war, our role in it and the slaughter of civilians (and the loss of American lives). Students today are protesting Israel's war, our role in it, and the slaughter of civilians. IT'S THAT SIMPLE. No one is supporting terrorists, or the enemy.
