Come on man, hit those drums! Single strokes on the fills aren't hard. What's the reason for the double strokes?
What would be the reason for single strokes? At this speed my doubles just work far better for me and since they have sufficient power I don't see a reason to not use them. And in general double strokes give you a lot of additional options when it comes to fills: ua-cam.com/video/sc_ou5J8rWM/v-deo.html
@@wanjanechtangroeger Double strokes have no where near the power of single strokes. I guarantee every band you listen to and every drummer you look up to uses single strokes for fills. I know you could easily do single strokes at this speed. You are a good drummer. Double strokes are viewed as an easy way out to cover up poor single stroke technique.
@@jdwdrums If you watch him more, you'll know how clean he has his doubles strokes. Wanja can do doubles on any surface. Yeah some people count it as cheating and substitute singles for doubles and whatever. But at the end of the day, this is his technique and it works very well for him. I'll also like to see you try and play this fast.
