I mean, if we look at it linearly, the abuse he experienced from his parents resulted in him developing a lack of empathy, which shows when Jack accidentally killed the cat and the kid going “oh well, guess they really don’t have 9 lives”. It’s almost as if Jack learned from the kiddo that that was okay. It’s interring to analyze. I can’t believe I missed the initial root cause. Tells you how tired I was! LOL.
He was also a kid and some kids just don’t understand things like that till their older their brains aren’t developed to understand things like that
That’s why I like this creepypasta so much, cos the creature is evil due to human influence, rather than the creature being simply evil towards human

No I dont think so, the friend was a childhood traumatic dissociation, The metaphor is that he left all that trauma behind not wanting to face his dark upbringing, Instead he became just like his father the very darkness he wished to repress consumed him. Jack needed a good therapist thats the moral of the story lol

INGREDIENTS
Cake Ingredients
1½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature, plus more for pans
2 cups King Arthur Flour gluten free multi-purpose flour, plus more for pans
½ cup coconut flour
1 teaspoon xanthan gum
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1½ cups sugar
5 large eggs, room temperature
1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
Frosting Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
4½ cups powdered sugar, sifted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons whole milk

Coconut flour and xanthan gum are available at natural food stores and some supermarkets, or online.
RECIPE PREPARATION
Cake Preparation
Preheat oven to 325°. Lightly butter two 8"-diameter cake pans and line with parchment rounds; butter and flour parchment. Whisk coconut flour, xanthan gum, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and 2 cups multi-purpose flour in a medium bowl.
Using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat sugar and 1 1/2 cups butter in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Reduce speed to low and add eggs, one at a time, beating to blend between additions. Scrape in vanilla seeds (save pod for another use), add vanilla extract, and mix just to combine. Add dry ingredients in 3 additions, alternating with buttermilk in 2 additions, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix just to combine (batter will be thick), then increase speed to medium-high and beat until smooth, about 1 minute.
Divide batter between prepared pans, smooth tops, and bake until golden and a tester inserted into the center comes out clean, 35-40 minutes.Transfer pans to a wire rack and let cakes cool in pans 10 minutes. Turn out cakes onto rack and let cool completely.
Frosting Preparation
Using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat butter in a medium bowl until creamy, about 4 minutes. Reduce speed to low and add sugar, beating until smooth. Mix in vanilla and salt, then add milk 1 Tbsp. at a time, mixing constantly until frosting is thick but spreadable.
Using a serrated knife, trim rounded tops from both cakes to make them flat. Place 1 cake layer, trimmed side up, on a platter. Spread frosting over top to coat. Top with second cake layer. Spread remaining frosting evenly over top and sides of cake.
DO AHEAD: Cake can be assembled 1 day ahead. Store loosely covered at room temperature. Enjoy, my fingers are sore now lol!

I'm both sad and horrified. As someone else said, the narrator does take the channel to a new level. They managed to make a story that had previously just interested me, make my heart race.

The real creepypasta is in the POV, of his mother, and the story is completely different and ends with the boy being cut open and strung on the wall while his mother has to watch. The laughing jack does this as the mother cant see him and tells issac he isnt real.

i know this is supposed to be more family friendly, but there’s a lot of aspects of this story that are missing. the details are what make issacs murderings more and more vital to the story, like how he carved “ungrateful worm” onto one boys chest. also, the lady friend he brought home never dropped a glass. he tried to sexually assault her and when she fought back is when he hit her with the candlestick.
