- This weekend my whole family got together to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday. Get-togethers like these have become very rare, so I am all the more grateful when they happen. The places I play in this video are in the area where my grandmother lives. I am always amazed about how beautiful areas there are in Germany and how happy it makes me to discover these places and to be able to play handpan there. Much love to all of you and your familys 💛

Your meditation videos remind me of 4'33 by John Cage. That song challenges the listener to find beauty in silence by hearing the sounds of their environment instead of instruments. Your music is unmatched in this regard. Listening to the rustling of leaves, birds chirping, people talking, or wind blowing gives me joy while you play. It is the perfect accompaniment to the music of nature. Extraordinary work, Malte!

First time I heard the hang pan,was my return to my island home in the fair grounds where farmers sell their wares.
As fate would have it,I was in deep grief and sorrow. I had just lost my husband 6months prior. I was talking to the mother of the young hangman player... it's as if her heard ,and took my grief 😔.. he poured out my feelings on that pan( for us in Carribbean it is like an upside down steelpan) I felt like for the 1st time my heart was being spoken to!
Yes, this is no ordinary instrument and not an ordinary musician. There is a leveling of compassion, empathy,Empathy, just transcending of the spiritual 🙏🏿 🙌🏻 through the magic of hands touching this vibration!!! The young Rastta brother took me on a road of healing,I accepted grief,but also realized sorrow was a choice... since then I have chosen to Live,and not merely survive💫💫🙏🏽🙏🏽🕉💜❤

My illness is part of my inner healing, and it is hell and heaven at the same time. Dear Malte, is there any chance you are ever gonna give a workshop in Holland? If you will, please come to Tilburg Factorium ( music and dance school) then I can join teh class! I am going through a very heavy time, and I am sure learning the hangdrum and your pleasant presence will chear me up!
In the near future, unfortunately, not for now, I'm already completely planned. But never say never, maybe one day. Otherwise you come to a workshop even if it is not in your area 💛
