- This was long and painful to finish but I've done it and for that only I couldn't be happier.
I had this project in my mind for a very long time,. What if Faith had lived? The hardest thing to do was to find the good actress to play her (I had a lot of option) and I decided to go on with Rose Leslie.
Story is simple. Faith did not die. And Claire went back in her own time with her and Brianna (still unborn at that time). Then it follows pretty much the initial story, but with Faith included.
I think I focused a lot more on Faith here, first of all because it was more interesting for me to do so, and then because I wanted to show another reaction to the reveal of their father. I've always thought that Brianna reacted too much coldly and badly so I made Faith more comprehensive and less on the defensive than her sister. In my imagination, she's closer to Claire than Brianna is.

I loved how Rose was Faith I adore this video so much!
I know I've commented on this video before but it's amazing! I think Faith could have lived if Claire hadn't gotten into the bumpy carriage at full term and full speed but i digress - I really just want Faith to be alive. I also want to know what Claire and Jamie would have named her. Would she have gone through the stones too? Would Claire even have been at the battlefield if she had Faith with her? SO MANY QUESTIONS.
This video is absolutely perfect and gives the canon scenes so much more weight than with Roger in Faith's place because Faith might have a faint memory of Jamie that helps her believe Claire faster than Bree. But also, Bree having an older sister is just perfect. Oh god, and then if Faith had come back through the stones, Fergus would definitely remember her and we'd get to see this blended, beautiful family reconnected. Bree and Fergus have had almost no scenes together and it kills me.
UMMMMM that was AU?? This is the best AU I've seen in awhile. They absolutely should have kept Faith alive and cast Rose Leslie. It creates so much interpersonal drama but it's 100% believable. Amazing work, I just wish it was canon.

I always tick "like" in response to someone's efforts, but I rarely comment. But I could not let this brilliantly worked vid pass by without saying something. What an interesting concept you had! That Faith had lived. Rose Leslie was perfect for that imagined role. But what was so absolutely brilliant was the seamless and very real effect that you managed to achieve within this video. A masterful piece of work, in my honest opinion. One unfamiliar with the Outlander story would never have guessed that this was just simply a personal "what if" moment. Beautifully done! You should be proud! :-)
