Played with Mike Cooney about 15 years in Co. Tipperary every Sundays and Thursdays. Sure miss playing with him. I sure cherished those wonderful moments. Now I’m back in Singapore.
Michael has been my inspiration, mentor and teacher on the Uilleann Pipes....Bells of Tipperary at 2.32 got it down God Bless you Piper Cooney Hope your doing well.
Love his posture and how his set of pipes look ergonomically suited to his playing. Impeccable playing and technique. And of course, gorgeous Froment pipes.... The very last tune was Tipperary Bells though.
Such a brilliant musician. Met him a few times in the US, when he used to play with the late, great Joe Burke in MaGurks in St Louis.
