I've been using craw tubes for years...I believe they are yums and they are always on the ready when going after smallies up here or when I'm in clear water.
The first time I noticed lures getting out of hand was the laser etched Live Target lures. $25 when they were released I think. Meanwhile my Bill Lewis Rat L Trap for $6 that’s been around for fifty years still catches more fish.
Been watching you for the last 2 1/2 years. I have probably used all your secrets bait modifications and Randy they really work. I really love what you’re doing. Keep up the good work iam subscribed. Another sleeper-style bait to add to the arsenal. They are super versatile. Have you noticed that every second commercial on Bassmaster Live is a livescope product advertisement?
I like the hidden hook in the dark sleeper, and this sleeper craw. The only thing about the dark sleeper is the plastic is super collapsible, so I don't find it to be nearly as weedless as it claims to be. Hidden hook, yes. Weedless? Big no. SUPER realistic though.
My experience with internal lead in soft plastics is they dont age well. The lead starts to corrode and over time ruins the bait. This bait being some sort of elaztech formula may be different but I will let others be the field testers at that price point.
That lure would definitely be killer in the saltwater. A whole bunch of species should fall for it. I bet it would be awesome under floating weeds or anything with mahi mahi underneath, way offshore, and it would be great in brackish water for snook. Cool lure. I like versatile stuff. The Megabass folks probably didn't think about using it for the saltwater, but lots of lures cross over.

To each their own. Some tools are just more fined tuned then others. Importing bait is just expensive in general doesn't matter from where beside sometime China. It's not uncommon to pay $20-$30 just for shipping from other countries just for an order. Shop local brands if you can't afford Japanese lures. Zman is ok but needs fine tuning as it's unnaturally buoyant. Fish might not always care but sometime little details can make a difference. I've had time when zman were top producers and other times when the fish didn't care for them. Can go both ways honestly. The fishing gods don't always want our offerings 😅. I love my dark sleeper's and sleeper gills, but I'll likely pass on acquiring a few of these because I craft my own jig heads and craws with a floating plastisol blend at home. Thanks Randy!

Sure this thing works. But damn I feel it's overhyped. Great looking bait but there are so many similar products out there. I just don't see that this bait will catch anymore fish then a similar style thrown back to back in the right areas. Think this bait is more a preference bait then a game changer
@@SouthJerseyBaitReviews I still use the River2Sea bait, it's def not elastomer but the craws are tough and floats. If it was elastomer, it would still be 50% cheaper. This bait, along with the sleeper gill will be everyone's favorite bed fishing bait because they won't catch $hit fishing it lol

What colors do you recommend Randy based on temp, water clarity, and light penetration? Does the hook need to be bent up a little like the Dark Sleeper?
Looks like a decent bait but, I maintain that crawfish do not crawl across the bottom with their claws constantly up in a defensive position. Only when defending themselves.
$10 for just 1 though....huge Yikes considering it will not last long at all....legs can fall off and after the first fish the hook has already ripped the lure.
I think either live target or maybe savage gear made a craw like this a few years ago. Instead of pinchers it had jig skirt material, but basically same concept. I have one but have never used it. Hollow body crawfish, the weight is molded in the tail and all that
At $10 a pop, how durable is this craw fish lure? Does the body tear at the slit where the hook is? Do the claws really stay attached after a number of fish you catch?
I can make one Senko last a pretty long time, so a bag lasts me quite a bit. You are saying that $10 is a bag and half of Senkos? Doesn’t actually answer if the craw is durable. One cast into cover and if a claw comes off, the lure is done.

Once on the St. Lawrence river I watched two 2 lb smallmouths shadowing an eel to snatch up any crawfish the eel kicked up.
Any rod recommendations for the sleeper craw? My normal jig rod seems a bit too heavy for it
Tackle hd makes the same exact craw. Works great! Called the hd craw
Where can you find them ?
Or is Tackle a store ?
