But according to this you don't need to cast the RCC under the Railway line, you can precast a Box section and fit it under the track within one day. But conventional tunnel building will take huge amount of time.
Why do they need to push the box when they had to cut the rails and dug up beneath. If that was the idea, they could have simply place the box directly with the help of cranes, where was the need of the hydrolics ?
I think this is just to explain because the boxes are very heavyweight and cranes are unable to lift that. I had seen the process on ongoing dwarka expressway. These boxes are very heavy and lengthy.

What is the purpose of pushing the box.? why is it not just lowered into the hole?
