I had no idea she looked like this. So weird how with podcasts you can hear someone dozens of times and make an image of the person in your head that has no relationship with how they actually look. Great interview. She's a very inspiring creator.
Wonderful interview, really took a lot away from Alex Lee Moyer’s insights as an independent creative. Especially from what she learned through her own experience. Love how she reveals the power of committing to a work a seeing it through. Thank you for this!
Can't believe tfw no gf was released 2.5 years ago (my mind is still stuck in 2020). It holds up very well and the themes discussed in the documentary are still relevant.
Not digging how the camera focuses on her the entire time, even with the angle changing. You're having a conversation, it's weird not to have you there. Voyeuristic. Not a knock on her looks--she's good looking--just would rather have the shots represent the back and forth.
I remember in your Kant Interview from like 2018 someone one commented that they smoked crack with this broad, believable tbh, she Def a normie filmmaker despite the subjects she tackles , I mean thinking meeting Yoko Ono and her druggie son counts as "I'm cool" is the normiest thing I can think of

I think Alex Lee Moyer is a very talented filmmaker with an exceptionally unfiltered and significant intellect.

She also made her own documentary.
