Hi! a new subscriber here from the Philippines. Marcelito Pomoy is a household name in my country because of his amazing talent. This kind of singing is just normal here and they call it "Doble Cara" meaning double-faced cause he is using two voices and a duet at that. But among those singers, he is the best. He won the grand prize winner in Philippines Got Talent season 2 and he had already guested in the Ellen Degeneres Show in the US. He was also requested to sing for the royal family in Spain. He got married just recently.

Not only does he sing in a saprano register and a tenor register, he is also singing in two different languages, neither of which is his native tongue. He is Phillipino and being homeless by the time he was 7, he has had NO formal voice training. He married his wife Joan in 2014 and they have one daughter....he was adopted by a police officer when his mother left him and his sister and his father was incarcerated. He is 39 as of this post (05/28/2023)....Can you tell he is my favorite performer??? hahahaha

we call this kind of performances here in PH "doble kara" and it was actually intended for laughs back then, and then there were people who actually became insanely good at it.

By the way this is a real converted bus, that tours the land looking for talent. There is a strong rumour that they intend to come to both the States and the UK. There is one other young star they have promoted, a 25 year old girl called Alienette (surname is Coldfire) who sings on the this wish107.5(bus) station 2 songs from Les Miserables that to be truthful had me in tears. I Dreamed a Dream (in French) and in English On My Own. Alienette has a wonderful voice and has battled to overcome her disability and won hands down. She is blind.
Just a couple notes: Marcelito is singing in English and Italian, NEITHER of which is his native language since he is Filipino; he is also sitting down, which is difficult for proper air flow to a singer; and the fact that there is no stress in his facial expression denotes that he has good lung and diaphragm control. I suggest you also check out Dimash Kudaibergen's Singer 2017 performance of "SOS" a soul's plea for help. HE is the "best singer in the world! You'll want to react to ALL of his performances in that competition...trust me!
I have watched several Dimash video performances, he has the most powerful vocals ding like a choir of angels, but his talent is very much operatic not soothing anymore to the ears, and obviously he sings in one voice, his male voice. Marcelito singing and swiftly shifting male and female voices effortlessly and sitting down in that mobile Wish Bus 107.5 is truly an amazing unique talent. Both his male and female voice is soft and clear, emotive and soothing to the ears, relaxing and can relieve stress! May GOD Bless Marcelito more with his unique talent, more international recognition and projects!
Dimash is not the best singer in the world.
I think dimash is a great singer... But we can tell who is the best of the best of the singer its depends of the listener.... Every singer have an uniqueness😊😊😊

I feel the same way. If anyone deserves international fame, it is Marcelito. He is one talented and gifted guy. I follow him on facebook and he posted a visa for the US. He hasn't said where he's going but I'm going to do my best to go see him.

This guys back story is almost as unique as his voice. Please note I have been told this story from about 6 Filipino friends so I assume it is OK. Marcelito was rejected by his mother at birth and was handed to his father, unfortunately his Dad was serving a long term prison sentence so little marcelito spent the 1st 2 years of his life in a prison cell with his Dad. He was then adopted by a guard, but it was an unhappy childhood. At 9 he discovered they were not his parents and he ran away. He survived by selling food snacks on the city streets. He says he learnt the trick of two voices to combat the loneliness. He earnt extra cash singing in bars and cafes. There he met a girl, they fell in love and have now married and have a family of their own. He entered Philippines Got Talent a while back and won it (of course). He has recently been reconciled and reconnected to his true Dad. This guy has turned his life around and I wish him all happiness for the future.

Perhaps you could look at the TNT BOYS. They are also from the Filipinnes. They are 3 young lads 13 and 14 years old who have taken the world by storm not just as fantastic singers and harmony singing like you have never heard before, especially from kids, but they are also brilliant impressionists and showmen. They are Francis Concepcion, Mackie Empuerto and Keifer Sanchez. Apart from talent they are also just about the cutest 3 lads on the internet and have hypnotised millions of teenage girls (and millions of Mums as well).
Just a small background, they are not related but all come from poverty, Francis even used to scavenge for rubbish so he could eat, then at 8 years old was rescued by an aunt and adopted.

I agree with that, this could happen. I came to know that he is an orphan and had no trainnig in music! He did a lot of karaoke and he is here folks! Not so sure about the story, I'll be visiting the Philippines by December and let's see if I know more about them. It's a challenge for myself. Let's hope for the best! You Both need to also watch "Dimash" from singer 2017 in China and also Tengri singing "Heaven" in singer 2018 in china.. This a competition like xfactor, but it's better.. You have to be invited to go on this show you can't just walk in off the street.. All the competetors are already established and professional singers.. Jessie J is the first winner fron england.. The reason why people from all over the world is watching this show, is that we don't have to go through having to listen to the good and bad singers like x-factor to go through the elimination process..
