Marcelito Castro Pomoy IS THE REAL DEAL. I had the great privilege of meeting and watching him in concert in June in Toronto. Watching him live was like an out of body experience. The videos DO NOT do his voice any justice. Check out his life story; it is worthy of a movie. I may be his biggest fan in Canada. Proud to be Filipino Cheers from Toronto.

Your reaction was priceless! It's my understanding that Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song by listening to and mimicking a recording. His performance is gorgeous considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it. He speaks the Philipino broken english, but being self taught is also singing in English, Italian and Chinese. Possible more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7, and now is married and a father! His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

so this is Marcelitos breakout performance its what got him the win on Philippines got talent .. he was abandoned by his Mom at 4 years old and had to live with his Father in Jail .. he had some hard times but found that he could dual sing .. and started to make a living at it he is all self taught ... one more very important song you must must must listen to is Power of love by Celine Dion sung by him ... you will be blown away even more ... loved the reaction and see you next time

I thought it was fake at first but found he's for real. He won Philippines got talent with that song. Check out Morissette Amon, she's considered the Mariah Carey of the Philippines. Very powerful withe great range. Charice is very good as well. The Philippines may have cornered the market for singers. It makes sense in a country where there's a karaoke machine in every house. Try and do a reaction of Morissette Amon's cover songs. I recommend (if you haven't seen it) to start with her cover of "Secret Love Song by Litte Mix" from Wish 107.5 channel also. Then there is Rise Up (from Wish also but you have to find a copy from another channel since it was removed from Wish Channel), Never Enough, Akin Ka Na Lang, and so on.
