    Rare, only 857 made! 1 owner car until 2022. 42,154 actual mile incredible survivor. #s matching motor and trans. Original paint and interior! It has been well maintained, we have records going back to 1977. It also has it's original window sticker, glovebox pouch with manuals, loan agreement and more.
    EXTERIOR: This is one good looking car with all this scoops and spoilers! The body is all original rust free metal. The paint is mostly original and it presents itself really well. Standing next to the car it looks new, if you look closely it has some patina, after all it is 48 years old! I absolutely love this sterling silver color, especially with the red and black decals. The black rub strip on the the front bumper has a split. The chrome and trim is very nice original. I am also a big fan of the Honeycomb wheels, the BFG tires look like new.
    INTERIOR: The deluxe interior is all original and it's in excellent condition. This would include upgraded door panels and upholstery. There is a split in the driver's seat. All the bits and pieces are excellent: plastic trim, dash pad, machine turned instrument panel, visors, kick panels etc. It has it's original AM/FM stereo. The cool formula wheel is on a tilt column.
    ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original #s matching 455 H.O. motor. Everything is correct except upgraded headers, the original manifolds are included. Everything looks clean and proper. The vacuum lines are run properly, the overflow bottle, squirters and ductwork for the air cleaner is all hooked up. It features power steering and power brakes.
    TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk is all original and in great shape. The silver paint with the original decals and weather strip look great. It has the original collapsible spare tire with the air bottle. The jack assembly is stowed where it's supposed to be and looks like it's never been used. Original gray mat is covering pristine metal floor.
    UNDERSIDE: Very clean, well preserved original underside. All original, completely rust free metal. The floors, braces, rockers and lower quarters are nice and dry. It's been maintained as needed, upgraded KYB gas shocks. Great sounding dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers and the cool looking splitter tips. It has the special suspension with front and rear sway bars. Disc brakes up front, e-brake is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it's clean. It has it's original VIN number matching, date coded correct Super T10 4-speed trans. Original 3.23 Saf-T-Track rear end.
    SERVICE: We inspected the car and repaired the reverse lights and installed the hood scoop insert.
    This is an opportunity to buy a really well preserved survivor. You can restore a car over and over, it can be original only once. This is extremely rare and desirable, if I'm not mistaken I think that makes it a great investment.
    I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
    Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
    **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

    Gorgeous Trans Am. My husband and I had one identical to this in 1975. We should have kept ours. We sold it to buy a Toyota Celica when the oil and gas crisis in the 1970's. Didn't realize we had owned one of the very few made. Wish this was mine.

    I glad I saved the best for last, incredible survivor TA where’s the Bandit. Seriously excellent example of late 70s muscle car era. Would be a awesome piece for anybody’s collection.

    I owned a 1975 Trans Am with the 400 engine with automatic transmission. The color was sterling silver with burgundy interior. My car had the Rally 2 wheels with chrome trim rings, later replaced with Cragar SS wheels. Just for the record it was the first year for the catalytic converters which I had removed and a true dual exhaust system installed and headers too. This car innthe video has the 455 engine offered during the summer if '75 and thru '76. It could only be had with a 4-speed transmission.

    Great survivor car. 75 wasn't great for HP, but a 455 HO will still burn some rubber, and it's really well taken care of. Very Nice. Wish list!

    I have basically the identical car with virtually the same miles. I have owned it since I was a senior in High School. My car has the 400 c.u. but now it is a 461. Stroker kit, ported heads, etc. I have been working on a complete mod-restore for years. Virtually nothing has gone untouched. I had a custom full leather interior done to mimic the delux seats. I call the car the Silver Streak. There is a silver streak them in various locations including streaks in the leather, on the oil pan, and valve covers etc. I have old Pontiac Silver Streak emblems that are on the fenders and will be worked into the custom door panels. I built a custom flap on the shaker hood that runs manually off a linkage going to the carb. Too many other mods to mention. I am pretty sure the engine paint is a darker blue that was just used in 1975 - 1977. It is not considered an Oldsmobile blue. I used the darker color on my engine.

    Definitely a rare car with all the prominence! Hardly an HO by 75 with a measly 200hp & 8:4:1 compression, though still a bit torquey! If you ordered a Catalina with a 455 you got the same motor (GM wouldn't tell you that). These birds are still very cool!

    • @louisebeaulieu936
      @louisebeaulieu936 9 місяців тому +2

      For your info, compression was 7.6:1 by 75 and 76. My boyfriend had one. He changed the cam ant the heads from a 71 400, casting 96, and woke up the engine...

    They just added the “HO” to make sound better, it was the same engine you’d find in a Pontiac station wagon, pretty much why the 75 trans ams aren’t worth as much as other models , but you find one like this it’s worth it

    • @mlb3135
      @mlb3135 8 місяців тому

      I used to own one of these. The HO on the shaker hood stands for High Output. This car has had headers added which boosts the HP about 10%. What I liked about the engine is its torque. When going uphill at 65 mph, it would accelerate nicely when you floored it. Its the only vehicle I ever owned that did that, but I haven't owned that many vehicles.

    Why were they called H.O. ? The standard 455 made 200hp and this 455HO made the same 200hp.

    For $67k that car should at least have the original type exhaust with the 481525 tailpipe tips, and Pontiac blue on the engine instead of Oldsmobile 455 blue. Nice car but not realistic at all on price.
