Ferdinand drug his feet on sending the rest of the dowry even after several years and Henry wanted to send Catherine back to Spain. She also had financial problems running her household. Ferdinand made her the first female ambassador of Spain to assist her in staying and she didn’t actually marry Henry until 1509.
