    Backed this on kickstater with the air purifier, so it was at a discounted price. Even so for what you get the price is pretty resonable considering. Take the size of the build volume out, try finding any laser engraver/cutter with a camera, enclosure air asisst,honey comb plate, and air purifier you would pay a hell of a lot more.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  8 місяців тому +1

      That is true, I think the price will drop a bit in few months. But it is quite good quality and the 10W module is a very good choice

    • @Bearded_Blonde
      @Bearded_Blonde 8 місяців тому +1

      @CasualDIY also they just showed how to engrave on an object that is bigger than the build volume. They call it "pro mode" you hold the repeat button on the machine for 10 seconds, this allows the doors to be open while engraving, obviously not the best idea for safety but if anyone wanted to it's an option

    Pricey but really nicely done.

      Very nice quality, it's just came to the market so I bet few months down the line and it will be cheaper.

    Great looking & performing laser, which would be more suitable for myself if I ever go down this route, due to the size, however it's too expensive currently. Looking forward to part 2 👍

      Yes bit expensive but it's just coming to the market so giving few months it will drop in price.

    I can understand why someone would want something this size, but I agree that the price is just nuts ... $450 (for UK) for a 10W laser with 130mm by 130mm working area (or $550 if bought with air purifier) ... at the end of the day it will fulfil the needs of some people and for them it'll be a good price 👍

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  8 місяців тому +1

      It fits a specific need, fills a market gap. But yes bit pricey at the moment. It was made through Kickstarter and just released for sale on the 11th I think. The price should come down after New Year. I think £300 for the laser and air purifier would be fair.

    Pretty impressive little machine indeed, Tomasz! Fantastic review! 😃
    I hope more companies come up with machines like this, because then the price can drop. 😬
    Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

      This machine been funded through Kickstarter. I was thinking of pledging money to it few years back but then the move to Poland happened etc. Yes not many machines out there with these specs and quality. But I can imagine the price will drop next year. Its just coming to market now.

    Tomasz, don't you dare apologise for anything you do ... yes some of the stuff you do is sponsored, so what, it still provides a useful source of information for those who may be thinking of buying one of these products ... the amount of content you produce is fantastic 👍
    If someone isn't happy with what you produce then they can simply not watch, I've never understood people who complain about getting something for nothing 👎

      That is true. Before I buy anything, even a kettle or toaster, I watch several videos on the product that interest me. Its always better to make an educated purchase than hoping for some luck and waste money on products that I may not like or work correctly.

    Thank you for your review! Have you tried engraving on uncolored stainless steel? They send a dog tag with a golden coat to test metals, but I wonder if the engrave would be readable on tags with no coat of paint.

      Should do its just a normal diode laser inside. But I'm talking about the 10W version. Don't think the weaker ones would have enough power

      I do say all the settings in the video. Also for most of the tests I used Lightburn but the settings would be the same in cutlabs

      You don't have to buy the air purifier. You will just have to use the laser in a well ventilated room.

    DO NOT buy this - my K8 worked for a few burns / engraving & then just stopped functioning - no after sales support available - so just some paperweights - save up & buy a proper Lazer engraver

    If you are buying a Wainlux product, please beware that they are terrible at customer care. Most Kickstarter backers like myself regretted backing the product. My advice? Don’t buy this engraver. Lasers are failing after few engraves. Mine came making banging sound at any attempt to home it. Wainlux didn’t respond to any queries. Please forget these glorified videos and save yourself headaches; trust me I’m a backer.

      It's a new machine in pre-sale so yes the price is too high which I mentioned in my video I think.
      As I have explained many times now, UA-cam is my main source of income and for me to buy materials for upcoming projects I need to make money. Before I had a full time job that was funding my tools, materials etc. So it's a bit of give and take situation. I can't make my woodworking projects without earning money somehow. And as you know plywood, mdf and wood in general costs an arm and a leg. Please treat these videos as an advert, same as you watch TV there are adverts and it's the same here. I always enjoyed doing tool reviews and they always been on my channel and always will be. My opinion on everything you see here is my own. That's the agreement I have with these companies. Hope you can see my point of view on this. Plus its Christmas peak season and for those companies and for me is the hottest time for earning money. After New Year its dry season. I have purchased plywood, mdf and three boards of walnut for my upcoming projects ( new workbench, workshop cabinets, wardrobes for my house etc) that will all have FREE plans to follow. These materials costed me 2 months of my wages - just to put it in perspective.

      @@CasualDIY It's ok, I didn't want to judge or critizise, it's just that I'm fed up of all these ads nowadays. I understand your situation and can relate to it. The point is so many so called content creators now mainly rely on testing stuff given to them instead of really creating anything or offering advice and first-hand experience. I understand that's much more easier and economically rewarding but still...

    • @CasualDIY

      @@Onlygloo I totally get where you are coming from especially when some creators may not say the whole truth about the product they are advertising. Unfortunately UA-cam on its own doesn't pay that much to cover the costs or make some profit. It may do in some cases when you are getting millions of views from each video. Remember you watch what you want. If a certain video I post is not up your street then don't watch it. Tomorrow I will post a video on making two cool Xmas trees from pallet wood and some offcuts. I do try to balance the content out. But up to Christmas it will be one project vs one sponsored video. From January the ratio will be much different. Its a hard balancing act between having money in the bank to support my family and making content that my hard-core viewers want to watch. Surprisingly I get more views from the reviews rather that project work... I'm always open for feedback👍

      Anyway, I wish you the best and will continue to watch what you have to offer. I'm just a bit jealous of you being in Poland at the moment. That's a wonderful country that deserve being much more praises (especially since the P.I.S. is out of its way now!)🥳

    Tomas...I used to watch your channel when you were in the UK. I enjoyed your reviews of machines that you bought and owned.
    Now it seems that you are just reviewing the free stuff that is being sent to you. If you are changing the purpose of your channel to being a simple review site, you should say so. Otherwise....it simply looks like you are on a free stuff grab. I can't blame you for that, but it dents your credibility.
