An easier way to explain this is that thursting during a run doesnt deplete your spartan charge. Its just that when you're on the ground it stops you, when your flying through the air that doesnt happen, so you can chain them. You should do a video on how you can delay the charge during any part of a jump too by tapping a then melee when you wanna execute it. Its great for catching people off guard.
I actually came here to see why I was getting charged around corners so much recently and there you go. I think when I played Halo 2 I refused to noob combo and eventually I BR'd good enough to combat it. Halo Reach I refused cloak and armor lock because I thought they were douchy. My stubborn approach to no embracing Spartan Charge is now a crutch so I am actually giving into this ability and I probably should have a long time ago. It might be my ticket from Diamond to Onyx on Arena and Slayer.
I agree about Armor Lock. I don't mind learning new abilities but there are certain ones I simply hate and won't cave into using. The problem with Armor Lock is it made many Slayer matches end in 42-37 scores. Meaning Team Slayer would actually time out before someone gets to 50. That is an embarrassment to game flow. If you ran into a team with 2 active camo's and 2 AL players the game is very likely ending with less than 50kills to the winner. Pushing a button to save you from any incoming damage like a fricking pansy with full control with how long you want to stay in the bubble.Combined with the ability to face any direction yet the visual of you in the pansy bubble is facing the one way when you pressed it. Some people didn't like Jetpack people but there was a respected skill to it. Some people didn't like Sprint but it lead to a faster paced game. Armor Lock took no skill and it helped assist in the only Halo version I have ever played where 400+ games ended without max score on Slayer. The next closest might have been 20 games.
Here's Vetoed doing a tutorial on how to take spartan charge to the next level and then there's me secretly praying 343 and Bungie and all the Gods to remove spartan charge from Halo 5 - I hate it more than everything else in the game, or maybe on par with the long-range status of automatic weapons. I play in onyx for most playlists and I didnt even know what those arrows on the screen meant. I always qued it by the sound.
I've been doing this for some weeks now; it really can give you an advantage off spawn, going to gran an os 1 sec before anyone else, etc

if shits in the game who cares just use it. everyone else does. i never used armor lock tho cause i felt the other abilities were better.

I think the only real thing I find useful from this is cutting corners with it but other than that I'll just stick to thrustsliding
It's useful when going up lifts or falling down, but I didn't go over that too much
