+Daniel West OKAY i'm replying to a two-year-old comment to tell YOU, yes, YOU, that that's fucking WRONG (you fucking incel). ua-cam.com/video/vLH7tkFfr3U/v-deo.html in this video, (the birthday video), you can see one tiny head down by the cake. despite the garbage amount of pixels, the head shape and hair color are a direct match to the kid in the video. he's a little younger, but that's expected given that the birthday video was uploaded a full year before sleep sound's was. you can even see hearing aids if you look closely. god do people like you just exist to suck the life and happiness out of other people or what?
+Rachel Smith Well...look...tbf...there are tons of people on the internet who do in fact say shit like that in order to get attention. It is pervasive in society, and getting worse because people get a sense of satisfaction (like the sense of "satisfaction" they get from heroin: short lived and hollow), with what they feel to be little risk. It's negatively reinforcing people to be fake, weak assholes. +Daniel West attempted to do his research. He got it wrong. Just tell him that first, and if he refuses to admit he is wrong, THEN you detonate on him. Not until then. Otherwise, you may just help create one of those people who runs around the Internets, complaining about SJW's and Femi-Nazi's. Would he be right for doing so? No. But it doesn't change the fact that you didn't avoid shutting down an opportunity at dialogue instead of negatively reinforcing the concept of shoving your beliefs down the opposition's throat. Try talking calmly first, then drop the axe if that doesn't work...

Thanks my sister for sharing this video. This video was amazing as a Deaf person watching it.

I'm crying a lot, this is a meaningfull project, the world is full of good people if you just let them come! Glad to read all of you guys in the comments.
I already loved this album and I believe that my love for it began after I stumbled upon the Gosh video. I recently decided to name my puppy oh-my-GOSH in fact. Something about the song and album just felt good to me. Today I finally had a moment to watch this video and I must say that I am taken by the concept and art therein. Beautiful souls abound. Thank you for this.

Man! The note at the start hit me hard. I'm a huge fan! I play music as well and am partially deaf. I am on both ends of the hearing spectrum. Thanks for doing this!!!!
the acoustic pressure not only feels on the ears, feels in all body, vibrating ourselves, tremmors on skin, bass rummble in the feet like an elephant can ear, i feel on this song and when come to the video i get suprised
Please, who is that luminous dancer ? She's irradiating the whole place with her talent and humanity. What a wonderful choice, for a wonderful artist !

Completely astonishing. I recommend listening on big speaker or a speaker close to you - you can then really feel the song and the beat and only imagine what deaf people have to struggle with
We watched this with open hearts, and then a dam burst! Jamie if I could find the words . . . you are a Gift! Thankyou, Big Love from us all. Queensland ,Australia.
i believe some of the participants can hear, through the use of Cochlear Implants or other kinds of audio devices. If you look at the boy in the very beginning, you can see that he uses double hearing aids. As someone who is deaf and uses a Cochlear Implant, I'm totally in love with this video and the music.

Love this song so much, and the video is beautiful! Been a fan of Jamie xx for a while now and his music deserves so much more recognition, like so much more!
Some people are asking how deaf people can enjoy music. Sure, some can hear with hearing aids. And yes, others can feel the vibrations because of a heightened sensitivity to tactile sensations. But after watching this video it seems like the most important explanation is that we all have the ability appreciate the expressiveness of dance. Those partially or fully deaf likely developed this ability to greater heights than the rest of us; they experience things differently. And yet, we have no trouble believing the deaf girl on the train who said she could “almost feel the music”. That's why this is so beautiful. Those unfamiliar with deaf communities (like myself) might think that the kinds of experiences and emotions that music evokes in them is inherently tied to a certain medium. But human communication, and communication in general, is much more magical than that. Compare: Newborns prefer direct eye-gazes over averted eye-gazes, infants will follow the direction of a pointed finger sometimes by 6 months, and very young children correctly respond emotionally to nuanced facial expressions - and all without training. How do they do this without understanding language or having a solid grasp of social conventions? Somehow we're tuned into basic forms of expression and signaling that can play an extremely broad range of purposes. Pointing, for example, can be used to ask questions, give answers, and learn new words and names. We simply ignore the most basic medium of communication -- bodily movement -- as we grow older and become competent speakers of a given language. This video reminds us of that.
and when the first time another music producer listen to this song they immediately think "damn, that was a lot of automation". so good. well done jamie!

Seven years and still the best music video I've ever seen
ive been feeling deeply depressed and have slept through the better portion of six months, this is the first thing that made me dance in awhile.
Are you better now?

This is so beautiful. I can´t find the right words. Respect to both, Sofia and Jamie, great couple!
Wow... I had to hold back tears. The chemistry in this is INSANE. Beautiful.
In my language you can use the same word for "listen" and "feel",
I perfectly understand why.
Which language is it? :)
Bara Studio Valencià / Català , and the word is 'sentir' that means 'to feel', but you can use for 'to listen' too.
i feel ya bro
