I was disappointed to see that the nose gear was molded as one piece, it is going to take some careful cutting to remove it. Also, the kit provides the 300 gal drops but not the 400 gallon drop that was often carried on the centerline.
While I can't blame you for going for the aftermarket AOA Decals, don't automatically give them a pass just because of the "Cartograph" moniker. Did you happen to catch the glaring mistake with the US roundel in the center and above the four other roundels? it was completely out of round! Makes you wonder why they give you five roundels and not four. Where does the fifth one go? Did they give you the replacement in the four below the "stretched one"? "Thanks for the review. It would help if you could spend a few more seconds showing the details and less time opening and removing them from the plastic bags. This is where we're trying to decide if we should go with this kit or the old Hasegawa kit. Except for the parts count, the quality of this kit looks like the same of the vintage Hasegawa kit from the last century!
Tony please do a build of this kit, breaking down each episode from cockpit to undercarriage etc.
Awesome... we operated Skyhawks with our RNZAF.. thanks from NZ 👍🇳🇿✈️
Glad you enjoyed it!
