*Correction: misspoke regarding dropping soul sigils for demon muzzle as a flex talent spot - that can't happen. this is what happens when you survive on only coffee for a week*
Big fan coming back before 10.2. you truly make some of the best guides out there, the core gameplay loop section is so essential for making an actually usable guide and so often forgotten by content creators. Thank you!
I have so been waiting for this video. Your videos have helped me and my team so much i always excited to see what you put out. Thank you for all you do and the players you help.
Can you please make an full updated VDH build after the update in a couple weeks, and also include BiS gear and your opinion on what gear to run. Also not specific to DH, but sort of a guide on when pushing to higher gear scores what gear you should be upgrading and what gear you shouldn’t upgrade to wait for something better etc. Also maybe include when getting to around 395-400, what things should you be doing weekly to get your gear. I love the content, such great details and explanation. Been watching for a very long time. Keep up the profound work❤
Fiery brand build with the set bonus could save VDH with enough haste if they keep the mini-game with re-applying and spreading fiery brand every 20 consumed soul fragments. The other build falls apart after ~key level 22. The whole concept is just stupid. Your defensive layer is built on keeping high frailty stacks up on targets, so you need to play your DPS rotation as well as possible. But at the same time, you are a mobile tank that needs to kite. How should that work? Once you disengage a pull or need to evade frontals and frailty stacks drop, you get one shot if you don't have meta or fell dev to re-engage. The core mechanics of the build tree dont match the mobile nature of the class.
Pleased to find you have a guide for this as well. I learned a lot about bear from you a couple weeks ago and am successfully tanking 16s on it now and pushing (freehold was fun). I'm looking at this tank next during the xp buff.
Should I be running around collecting my soul fragments? Or can I use them on Spirit Bomb and Soul Cleave without collecting them from the ground? Mine don't jump to me like yours seem to and I'm not sure why. Maybe I missed a talent or am doing something wrong?
Do you think S2 will be better for kiting? The big issue I struggle with, if I don't hit, I'm dead. I face tank too much because I rarely feel comfortable moving when I'm already behind because I move out of my own healing "range" and when I do engage back, not enough time to top myself up enough.
As VDH I honestly dont feel safe when ingaging 5-8 mobs if Fel Devastation is on cooldown. Being obligated to kite because of the class design is a weakness in my honest opinion, I love DH, but tank spec desperately needs a rework
Have you seen the whole “lunchboxing” idea that has been discussed in the demon hunter discord. It’s pretty busted with fiery brand being able to last for ridiculous amounts of time on 10+ mobs
Spirit Bomb being common.... Its mandatory as SC Has a cap now. This is probably my biggest problem with the tree is no matter what we have to go left side if we don't want to cap on souls, GCD and just to have an uncapped attack. At the very least the left side should be moved into the center so that we can move freely between the other two sides instead of having to choose a binary option between the two. Or better yet just remove SC and bake SB into the spec along with fracture as they have been mandatory talents since DH has been a playable class. As much as I love DH their kit seems to work against itself. We need ramp time to get frailty stacks to stay alive but they want us to kite dropping all the stacks we worked up. I will say I'm looking forward to FB coming back I had a ton of fun in SL's with a fodder FB build where fodder spread FB (I seemed to be the only necrolord DH in season 3.) This seems to be a more powerful version of that. I was really disappointed with the change from FB CD reduction going to 2 charges in DF it seemed to kill the build. I really wish we could keep feed the demon somehow with the FB build.
SC is needed to dump fury and for ST. I agree with placing SB talents on the middle and making Fracture baseline or placing it in the top middle of the tree.
@@Krulfar Yeah its in a weird state right now where we try to manage a builder CD, 2 spenders, fury, souls, and frailty stacks. Most DH's I see (the few there are) seem to ignore fury entirely and just focus on 4-5 soul SB's and never even use SC. I originally tried to drop SB and go a full SC build for the additional healing and damage on primary target thinking it might be good enough for up to 5 targets on harder content but the cap pretty much prevents that style of play outside of raids.
@@derangedhermit7981 I don't think the rotation is that hard tbh, the hard part is managing frailty stacks and defensives. Rotation is just using fracture on cd, SB on 4-5 souls and dump all your fury with SC after SB. Use sigil of flame and inmolation aura on cd and that's it. Single target is even easier, just never press SB.
I'll be honest, I haven't tried the fiery brand build so I don't really fully understand how it feels to play - that said I don't like the fact we are being shoe-horned into an optimal build to align with tier set bonuses... Which is definitely way different to how most DH's have been playing M+ in S1 with the standard 'safe' build
My only piece of criticism here is that The Hunt is probably more of a defensive tool. It converts 50% of the damage you do to the Hunted target into healing. I personally save it for hard hitting abilities.
Definitely one of the tanks that needs a rework. The spec as a whole has so many core design flaws. Also being locked into ONE SINGLE VIABLE BUILD with our 4 set is a pretty sadge moment.

more coming your way! :D
Absolutely love these guides Quazii. Much better than many others that I see and makes it easy to understand while having lots of detail. Thank you!
This ticks all the boxes on what a class guide should be, brilliant job 👏
Love your video style. Very mature and not just whatever one else does. Thanks!
these tank guides are so much better than most of the copy/pasta guides out there. Thanks for going into such detail!

Great guide. Earned a sub
Removel of flame crash single handedly killed this spec for me.
thanks for the guide man! - looking forward to bear

How did you get your weak auras to look like (the elvui skin) instead of the default? great vid btw!
Ah you can get my entire UI free it’s in the description
@@quaziiwow ty for the reply❤ I have found the link, using the WA now , legend!! Cheers
Unhealthy attachment of Illidan hahaha all DH has this!

insane guide as always !

I used to kite a lot as a vengeance DH in shadowlands but not so much in DF
I agree. With Frailty, VDH has to face tank as much as possible.
Fodder to the Flame is offensiv cooldown. IT give you a Demon Soul -> 20% more DMG
Really like your videos. Just a small note here: You can't drop soul sigils for Demon muzzle, since you need it to actually get there

Good thing I’m a degenerate
what build for the raid?, I can’t find it anywhere
Search for my 10.2 guide this talent code is outdated 10.2 video on my channel (:
@@quaziiwow I'm just playing on version 10.1.7 and looking for guides for the raid, but everywhere for myth+
What is the name of the Weak Aura that you track your fury and fragments with?
At 15:22: kinda hard to take Demon Muzzle if you don't take Soul Sigils.
Hey Quazii, in ur dh weakaura there is Elysian decree missing for Vengc

Now make feral, WW, holy pally
VDH has to face tank otherwise all the healing disappears.
Try doing that on 23s and higher - you can’t face tank all the time without mitigation.
Just came back to wow and am going vengeance and this guide was so helpful thank you 🫶🏽
