New York State police recover 15-year-old boy who drowned in Genesee River in Allegany County

Police said investigation determined two people went into the river to swim but a 15-year-old boy was swept away by the current and didn't resurface.

Really sorry for the family, this hits home, in 1998 my 15 year old brother drowned while swimming with friends in a Waterford canal, I was 8 and remember everything, when his friends ran to cohoes to get us and we went to watch the recoverkd
