Light or heavy depends on the percentage of your max, in another word -" intensity", it does nothing with actual weights.

as a fan but not someone who actually does olympic lifting apart from some sets at the gym but nothing serious. i never noticed how much volume and weight was in their warm up sets. it’s crazy. i found this video very interesting and insightful

dont do yourself like that man. a 160kg back squat is still extremely impressive and makes you stronger than 99%+ of the population

Bar dropping since 1996.. GOAT!!
Can you damage the bar by dropping it to the floor? I saw many times people criticize Lu for doing so, but I don't see how this could happen, since the bar can handle huge weights w/o breaking.
The only time I heard people criticizing the dropping was because he doesnt drop his own bars but everyone elses lol.
he is droping the bar on a matted floor+ the bar is not a stiff bar so it can handle some bounce, so i guess the impact it gets its minimal.
I would never drop a bar like that, whether it damages it or not. I do know however, it damages the platform if the bar nicks the edge.
its cause the bar lands straight on the bearings, which is not designed for impact, unlike the collars, but still, I think they're fine
They have doing this for ages, I don't think it damages the bar. The bar can handle far more beating than that and still be perfect.
