Finally the ABM list is out! As promised in previous part (link here ua-cam.com/video/l_XS0rhhXj0/v-deo.html) as soon as it reached 1M views I uploaded the long range part! Also this time when this list will reach enough views I'll make the short-medium range part! Probably a top 15 or even a top20! There are tons of short-range SAM out there ehehe :)
At this rate, the next top 10 video will come out when Half Life 3 comes out.

Prithvi ABM is quite useless should be on 6th
Cons:
1. Liquid propellant needs to be filled before firing and cannot be stored in missile for year or it will corrosive the body
2. More calculation,target identification of ABM mirv or short-range ballastic is needed.
3. Counter counter measures are needed
4. Range not enough.
5. Needs more effective sensors,seeker and mode swithing

There are several errors in this video. Anyone who watches this video must know that there are systems for anti-air (SAM) and anti-ballistic (ABM) protection. In the SAM system, there are anti-air systems with anti-ballistic capabilities such as Patriot pac-3, s-300, s-400, Samp / t (Aster 15 and 30). These systems are used to destroy aircraft, helicopters, missiles, drones and cruise missiles. They also have the ability to defeat ballistic missiles, but these capabilities are much weaker than in anti-ballistic systems. When we talk about anti-ballistic systems (ABM) we have to know that there are two groups of ballistic missiles interceptors. The main role of anti-ballistic systems is to protect against the striking of ballistic and intercontinental ballistic missiles. It is also important to understand that anti ballistic systems do not have any anti-aircraft capabilities. The first group includes ballistic missile defense systems such as Thaad, Sm-3, Arrow 2, PAD, David Sling... The main role of these systems is to intercept ballistic missiles that have a range of several thousand kilometers, and these ballistic missiles can carry a conventional and nuclear warhead. The second group includes anti ballistic systems capable of defeating intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM). ICBMs have a range greater than 5500 kilometers and can carry conventional, inert, chemical, biological and Mirv and Marv warheads. There are only three systems in the world that can intercept ICBM. The first is US GMD, the second system is Russian A-135 Amur (A-235 Nudol will be put into use in 2027). The third system is Israeli Arrow 3. Only those three systems have the ability to intercept and destroy ICBM. Other anti ballistic systems have much less ability against ICBM and in theory can not intercept them. There is another mistake in the video. The title of the video says that anti-ballistic systems (ABMs) are very long range SAM systems which is not correct. SAM and ABM are two different types of air defense. SAM systems are used to intercept targets at low altitudes and operate in the radius of several hundred kilometers. ABM systems are used to intercept missiles at high altitudes and speeds and operate in a radius of up to ten thousand kilometers.
A new system joined the ranks of the likes of American GBI and Russian A-135. Its the Indian PDV Mk II. It successfully shot down a satellite. Not yet tested against ICBM (test range is under construction). But intercepting an ICBM requires more than just an interceptor. You need longer range scanners and IIR based satellites. So, India's DRDO is already working towards these capabilities, albeit at a lower priority. ICBM interception capability is not that high in India's security requirements given the fact that the trigger for creation of a missile shield was Pakistan's nuclear ballistic missiles. Since Pakistan does not have the technology nor the need to build an ICBM, India's focus will, for now, remain on improving the capabilities of its existing shield made of AAD missile and PDV MkI missile combo as well as improving detection and engagement capabilities against Pakistani cruise missiles by using aerostat radars to negate terrain masking and better algorithms for removing background clutter. Missiles that can take down Pakistani Cruise Missiles are also under development, such as the Akash NG which is an indigenous Barak 8 with Indian seeker and XR-SAM which is a ~350 km range ramjet powered missile based on the SFDR missile tested by DRDO last year.
PAD is Exo-Atmospheric. Also you should have had PDV in the main list, not PAD. Though information about the programme is not openly available, it is assumed that PDV has already entered service or about to enter service anytime. First test was in 2012!

David Sling and Arrow 3 are not in the same category. Arrow 3 is anti ballistic missiles system , that suppose to shoot down ballistic missiles in space ( very long range) and David Sling is the second layer in case the Arrow failed, so its medium to long range, and than is Iron Dome for short range.
The David Sling is for both.It can intercept also ICBM as a second layer protection against them with the Arrow :)

Sm 3 block 1b has a range of 700 km and a speed of 9 mach. You are confusing it with the 2A variant which is not in service.
It's clearly written that the variant chosen is the 2A so I haven't confused nothing and yes it was delivered from February 2017
The variant still not in service is the SM-3 Block IIB that is expected for 2020-2022 (again clearly written in the video)

I couldn't find any claim in the articles about the interceptor being operational. It was tested successfully, but wasn't declared operational...
DDG-53 fired the missile at the test. This dosn't make it operational. (Or that I am missing something?)
Actually, in the second article it is actually wrriten in the picture that SM-3 IIA is in testing and not operational.
If it wasnt clear yet, than the missile is NOT operational.

2500km of range it's useful to deploy less systems to cover a certain area...but not the main parameter.If you have more systems with a lower range you can achieve the same result (with a greater cost of course). 300km of altitude instead it is something incredible...and the SPEED of about mach 15 (4.5 km/s) ????? o.O

Where did you get the SM-3's max target speed? What source? thediplomat.com/2017/06/missile-defense-blues-sm-3-block-iia-fails-second-intercept-test/ They have failed to intercept MRBMs. But for arguement's sakes lets say you do have a source I will provide some considerations below.
1.2020 THAAD-er is said to intercept hypersonic targets like the WU-14. Last time I checked the speeds of hypersonic flight vehicles like the WU-14 fly at mach 10 same time frame of the fabled s-500 that can intercept multiple ICBMs. This along with AEGIS are deployed near N Korea An/spy-1 can do this? the An/tpy-2 is more newer than this and better than the spy-1. Those SM-3 missiles might have twice the speed but radar is it using exactly because it is really hard to believe spy-1 can do that.
2. Considering the sm-3 block failing to intercept a missile that is similar to according to that source the pukgukson-2. Google MRBM missiles they will give you lists. Shabab-3 is like mach 7,R-12 is like 3.5km/s speeds,DF-21 is like mach 10, agni-2 is 3.5km/s. so SM-3 fails to intercept the pukgukson-2 which in most cases does not come close to any of these present missiles and your telling me it is able to intercept mach 19.
3. "Russia isn't the best.In terms of missiles US/JAPAN is better while in terms of complete defence system the best one is probably Israel in this moment" OK I do admit the Japanese beated the russians in making an AESA sensor air to air missile called the AAM-4B before they did. But in terms of range the K-77M is better and will have better sensor tech and already has a longer range than the AAM-4B. So JNAAMs comes out the K-77M will still have a longer range rumored to have GaN AESA? Well that is present on the K-77M since the LTTC MMICs look smaller than the average GaAS modules., What missiles exactly do you mean they are already pursuing hypersonic cruise no country in the present is. Already have plans from a 2012 article of using ion thrusters with a nuclear reactor claim that solar cells at an extended journey would be more useless as distance becomes farther away for their Mars mission. NASA 2016 article claim they will be using ion thrusters but are playing with their thumbs as to trying to decide between solar cells and nuclear energy.......I can give you the sources if you want no joke this where every country is in missile technology compared to Russia. Hence why their missile were sold everywhere in the 1st place.
4. How is Israel the best defense at the moment when you dont put any of there defense systems in your ranking are you talking about the arrow-3? 2018 is the timeframe for the A-235 especially alot of beautiful brand new spanking voronezh radar variants that work in the VHF, UHF and X-band radar detection field using sensor fusion with capabilities of tracking ICBMS and relaying that target information to air defenses like the s-300,s-400 and s-500.
5. Not entirely saying a system from 10 years ago that is 2nd place must still be 1st place. But are you sure that was the an/spy-6 than the an/spy-1 with those tracking speeds?

The A125 isn't the same of SM3.It's deployed only in silos around moscow and the 235 is in development so doesn't matter.

TheDarthDesigner it's based on barak 8 but have a range of about 150- 180 km and capability to hit Ballistic targets. Why it isn't placed in the list?
The Barak 8 is present in the other list, the one you are referring, the Barak-8ER , is still not commissioned and there are just few informations about it so it was not possible to add it (for now)

S-400 isn't even an ABM system. It's capabilities against ballistic missiles are extremly small and it is, in no way better than arrow 3 or thaad ... Its radars are inferior both in hight and distance, most of its interceptors aren't designed to be exo atmospheric... Its only missile designed specifically for the anti missile role is 9m96e\2 and it has the same capabilities as pac 3, which isn't even on the list. What?????
It isn't in the first place,it have capabilities against 3500km range class ABM while the arrow and others reach 3000km class maximum.Radar yes it's a little inferior and nope the interceptors are exo atmospheric (185.000m in altitude you are above the atmosphere)
Are you sure about that? I'm not sure but i remember that the limit of the exosphere is about 900 km...
40H6 is exoatmospheric, but it is intended for the anti aircraft role and has limited anti ballistic capability. It has no chance to intercpet a ballistic missile with a range of 3000km. The only missile in the S-400 complex that is designed for anti misisle role is 9m96e2 which is very similiar to PAC-3 and has a max altitude of 30km. beisde that, S-400's radar max altitude (altitude!) is 200km. Even if a 40H6 would be launched against the enemy missile, it would meat it in the endo atmosphre.
beside that, arrow 3 and 2 are marketed as anti theatre ballistic missiles- ballitic missiles with a range of 3500km.

The arrow 2 is marked to engage 2000km class BM while for the arrow 3 was increased to 3000km class.Even in your link I can't find the 3.500km class BM.The S-400 adopt the 40N6 and it's reported the ability to engage 3.500km range class BM at 400km of range and 185km of altitude

Consider their country situation, it's quite obvious they spend so much on missile defence programs and they achieve so good results. At this moment Israel is the n1 country in anti-missile defence systems :)

Arrow 2 is a totally different missile. It is endo atmosphric while arrow 3 is exo atmosphric. (As thaad in the high endo atmosphere and low exo atmosphere and sm 3 in the mid-high exo atmosphere)
I don't use more times the same machine in different variants but ever the latest and better one.
Otherwise in some lists you will find the same machine tons of times and anything else,pratty boring to watch
But it is totaly differnt... Saying that arrow 2 and 3 are the sime is like saying that THAAD and SM-3 are the same.
The misile use totally different sensors, rocket motors, KVs etc.
Arrow 2 uses a massive warhead and is desinged to operate inside the atmosphere. Arrow 3 Is kinetic and desinged to operate outside the atmosphere. The Arrow 3 is not an upgraded arrow 2 but a complitly new missile desinged from scratch. .
I think that you think that arrow 3 is desinged to replace arrow 2. This isn't the case. it is desinged to operate at higher altituted to increase the amount of interception opertunities.
My point is that the relationship between arrow 2 ands 3 is like the one between thaad and SM-3- 2 totally different interceptors for 2 differnt altitudes.
How do you define a different missile? (or how do you define a variant?)

TheDarthDesigner yes but correct me if I m wrong S 500 deserves to be on top of the list and the Indian system u show is a two tier integrated BMD system why u presenting it like that. I m not an expert so correct me if I have a misconception
The S-500 is mentioned in the video and no, it doesn't deserve to be here because it doesn't fulfil the criteria of the list.
The Indian system have two parts just like the arrow 3 and David's sling or the THAAD and SM3 for endospheric or exospheric threats

The best Russian anti-ballistic systems are antey-2500 (S-300vm) and A-135. S-500 will be a better on but it's not officially in service until now
