Bravo , vous avez tous compris ! Faire un véhicule léger d'artillerie légère est une super idée . Un mix entre CAESAR et un vab léger pour bien harceler l'ennemies dans des zone plus proche . Je suis trop fière de nos industriels Français , Nos ancêtres seraient fières de vous ! 🇫🇷
Très intéressant ce mortier mobile. Aussi bien utile à des unités de force spéciales, qu'à des troupes conventionnelles même les moins aguerries au combat telles les troupes territoriales. Vraiment, une adaptation multiple pour ce véhicules. Chapeau bas Messieurs les ingénieurs 👏👏
Franchement super, j'espère vraiment que l'Armée Française verra son utilité et l'inclueras dans ses rangs...' Je le vois bien avec les Hussards parachutistes les explorateurs de tirs avancés, etc...
Je préfère quand même une 12,7 à la place de la 7,62...
L’armée Française dispose du Griffon Mepac , c’est encore mieux que les Sherpa .
i love the design of the arquus platform. i can't put my finger around it, but it's so slick
Been checking out the heavy and light mobile systems. One thing I noted was the hydraulic speed for the deployment. Regardless of platform that needs to be faster? Auto-load vs. manual load? Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Having the extra fire support for protection is good! This system would cost a lot more than some of the other light weight systems I've seen. Maybe a good mix of heavy and light systems? Regardless they need to be an integral part in any Countries military!

Nope pas besoin, on développe le MEPAC même principe sur base de Griffon et tout automatisé pour le tire et rechargement je crois

Magnifique, mais Est-ce qu'il y a pas doublon avec le Griffon spécial artillerie (une cinquantaine d'exemplaires prévus il le semble) qui tient un canon rayé 120mm également ?
Ou alors le sherpa est juste destiné à l'export ?
C’est un mortier mobile contrairement au griffon
Un griffon mortier: 24,5tonnes.
Sherpa light: environ 12 tonnes.
Pas le même emploi.
Mais parfait pour un groupe tactique compris entre les forces spéciales et les forces conventionnelles .

Si ce n'est pas le cas ce serait dommage de se priver de ce sherpa. Pas dans les régiments d'artillerie mais en doter dans l'infanterie ce serait pas mal !
Très jolie mortier peut-être que la France va en commander pour remplacer les nôtres. En plus sa va dans l’esprit du Caesar. Dépliable et repliable rapidement et doit pouvoir s’insérer dans le programme scorpion

Bientôt on aura même plus besoin de sorti du véhicule pour mettre l'obus dans le tube? Par contre, il va falloir repenser la protection contre les drones, l'escarmouche en Ukraine est un bon laboratoire.
i am no expert in military equipment and its strategy but in my opinion. i the shells/rounds are too exposed. one RPG hit can destroy everything. i think they need a little more protection in that case.😊😊😊
They are not to be on the frontline, a few km back. So low risk to get a RPG hit.
And the shells and propellant are attenuated risk munitions (MURAT in french acronym), they can withstand a lot before exploding
An RPG has a range of 4 to 5 kms while the Sherpa mortar has a range of 13 kms, plus it wouldn't be sent on the frontline, the Serval and the future VBAE would be sent first, for the time being, it would be the VBL (the VBAE will replace the VBL).
Such a drive only needs an automatic detective radar for Friends or Anemia detection, so that the turret can automatically aim and the shooter confirms by eye whether to make contact or attack according to protocols before firing.

Full auto = more risk of breakdown, and mortar propelling charges need to be prepared and put on the mortar shell manually, depending on the type of ammo and range.
Le faite que le personnel doive sortir est pas pour sécuriser la manœuvre la preuve en est le système turc monté à l arrière en cellule close et fourni le tir mais projet sympa
la stabilité et la précision du tir semblent meilleurs sur le Sherpa car le mortier est directement stabilisé au sol, sans risque de secousse du véhicule qui nuiraient à sa précision
@chrysboulissiere1254 Sachant que la portée du mortier du Sherpa est de 13 km, son personnel n'a aucun risque de se prendre une balle à une telle distance. A un moment, quelque soit le blindage les soldats finissent toujours par sortir de leur véhicule, ne serais-ce que pour satisfaire un besoin naturel.
Not bad but a 360 degree rotation on turret or baseplate would be better. Fold down systems are an improvement over fully manually operated mortars but we can do better. AMOS, NEMO, and SPEAR for examples.
What a scilly comment, do you have an idea about the weight of a mortar ? This is a very good compromise, it makes the Sherpa a small CAESAR and it has to be considered lilke that, besides, the range of the ammunition is 13 kms, man that's something which could be a REAL game changer on the field of a battle !

après donnez moi vos avis mais j'ai du mal à voir l'utilité, autant faire un mortier sur une remorque compatible sur un max de vehicules plustot qu un véhicule mortier

Vous devriez produire des milliers d'ACMAT pour l'UKRAINE. Ce sont de merveilleux véhicules. D'ailleurs si je veux en acheter un comment faire ? Je vois de nombreux des pompiers ou de l'armée convertis en camping car.
Déjà ça serais bien d'en fournie avant a l'armée française avant d'en donner à l'Ukraine

You truly do not know what you're talking about, this vehicle is actually an answer to some ongoing competitions for large contracts such as in Romania. If anything, the current war in Ukraine shows that light and mobile artillery are needed.
Two very different things that you're talking about. The Amos is very similar to a heavy wheeled howitzer with complex automated loading and firing systems under armor. This Sherpa version is an armored car that drop a 120mm mortar ready to fire in 20 seconds. Same time goes to unpack it.

@@remistiegler5302 Why not bring the base of the weapon into the body of the car? It also seems that the gun has limited aiming angles, that is, you need to drive up to the position and turn around astern to the enemy in order to open fire.
@@Nomad7541 mortars, especially 120mm ones put a huge pressure on the base of the cannon. You can see it on other videos how a single mortar fire stick its base in the ground. And the Sherpa light only weights 11t and would require additional stabilizing arms in order to fire.
So for me the reason is obvious, the system uses the ground as base to stabilizes the mortar, improve the accuracy and avoid any tension in the structure of the chassis because of the firing.
