When I was like 14, my mom and I ran into her at a hotel eating breakfast. She didn't have a drop of makeup on, was STUNNING, just eating breakfast with her daughter and like annoying fans, we approached her. She was so nice, took a picture with us, so down to earth, so charming.

I can see both sides to be honest. Her attitude is admirable but if someone else in a similar position doesn’t feel like it then that’s fair enough. As fans of entertainment we are not entitled to anything. We have built a relationship with the content. Not with the person themselves.

If an artist finds it enjoyable, or something that’s “part of the gig” they don’t mind doing, fine; their choice. I tend to think more the other way, but can understand both sides.

@@AC-mp7cx Not all fans feel like they're entitled to someone's time and energy when they're not actively working. Alienating the bratty ones sounds like a good compromise.
I think being famous in the 90s was different from the idea of “famous” now. Less paparazzi, no social media, no streaming services, etc. She is right about being lucky, and I love that she said that. Good interview clip.
Yeah celebs were proper celebs back then. Weren’t in your face 24/7 and just did their jobs. Wish it was still like that tbh lol
There was wayyyyyyy more paparazzi in the 90s than now, especially due do the fact that there was no social media. People would only rely on paparazzi. With the rise of social media at rhe end of the 00'as and 10's paparazzi became somewhat irrelevant
🤔… No. Paparazzi is what made celebrities famous in the 90’s because there wasn’t any social media.
Now, celebrities control their own narrative on the socials, but before that their pictures were at a premium. Tabloids would sometimes pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for them especially of their kids!

It was “just” magazines and TV and music. It was all powerful. Amazing how much we all knew even without the internet ! It’s definitely got to be way different and as said not necessarily in a good way.
She was so low key and unproblematic even during the peak of friends. Rarely ever scrutinized or criticized. She handled the fame well. In the beginning she had the bigger movie career and higher profile

I think all of the Friends cast handled fame well. Jennifer Aniston is the most scrutinized of them all, and I think she handled everything the paparazzi had thrown at her with a lot of grace.

Some people change because of comments like this. Those judgemental comments about people you don't even know. But people also change just because THEY want to...in both situations it's none of your business and to keep judging people by their looks isn't helpful at all. Just say she has a nice personality and you like her work (or whatever) but her face, her lips, her freaking boobs are seriously NOT your business to judge about.
Recently re-watched the old Scream movies and her appearance on Seinfeld and noticed that this lady is actually really good at acting. Her talent is underrated.
She really is! She’s absolutely brilliant.
She was definitely one of my favourite characters from that legendary show. And the one I most relate to.

Courtney 100% has the right attitude when it comes to signing autographs & taking photos with fans. Yes, I understand that famous celebrities are people too, with a right to a certain amount of privacy (they agree to forfeit total privacy by becoming famous) but your fans are the reason you have a job you love where you can pick & choose projects, a big paycheck, nice things, money in the bank & the reason you get special treatment & perks. She said “what if nobody cared?” and that’s so true. They wouldn’t be rich, famous celebrities without their fans. Many celebs forget that and instead of being gracious, they decide to be rude or avoidant of fans. So when I see a celeb with her positive attitude toward fan interactions I applaud them. 👏🏻
I thought she had amazing comedic timing when playing Monica - Matthew Perry as well - my favorite characters on the show. I loved what she said about giving out autographs - so humble.

She's so nice! I don't think celebrities owe us anything. Yes, fame is something that sometimes comes with the job but that doesn't mean they have to be nice to everyone who approaches them on their day to day lives. So I really appreciate her attitude towards fans, it just makes me love her more.
Being nice to everyone is a must for everyone 24/7..,,specially if you're famous or a public figure.

I agree, I wouldn’t talk to my “fans” at all lol it would only be to above whatever I was doing next. I would not interact with random people online, I certainly would not allow them to come near me, I consider them strangers lol

On the other side of the coin we were in Los Angeles my daughter wanted Will Ferrell‘s autograph she was just a child eight years old and we walked up to him and asked and he said no he’s busy and she was so embarrassed and heartbroken and has not wanted to watch him in any movies or TV since!
So please don’t second-guess yourself about being there for your fans because we truly appreciate it and if you weren’t there for us, it hurts our feelings. Thank you for caring ♥️

I worked at a school in Santa Monical that her daughter attended and I must say that she was one of the nicer and sweetest parents there. She gave me a fruit basket for Christmas one year. She was and still is a beautiful woman.

So sad that someone hates themself so much. When I was in high school and in my 20s, whenever I watched Friends, I was always-ALWAYS- in awe of her natural beauty. I thought she was so incredibly gorgeous. Most of any female celeb. And then for her to disfigure her face like this, injure herself so profoundly. This culture of ours is so damaging.
I agree. All the women on the show were/are extremely beautiful, & Courtney exceeds that. Always made me sad that she seemed to always struggle with her self image. She's stunning inside-out.
She’s clearly a very sweet person. I think I remember reading her say something like she was misled by her cosmetic surgeon who basically encouraged her to get one procedure after another and she didn’t realize that what she was doing wasn’t having a good result until a friend said something. But yeah it’s terrible what our society expects women to look like and the pressure they feel to comply as they age that pushes them to such extremes.
And yes she was always gorgeous. I bet she would have aged beautifully naturally even if there were some difficult periods in that process. I’m glad at least that she has a partner who seems to have stuck by her through it all.
She's spoken about this already and she said she regrets the work she had done which I believe were fillers but she's still beautiful to me.

Circa 2018, I was working at the commissary at Disney studios in Burbank. Right after I set hard shell plastic cups up near the fountain machine, a woman pulled one and knocked a couple to the ground. Hard plastic cups made a loud clinking bounce sound, and everyone looks over....it was Courtney Cox, super humble apologizing to ME. She was shooting a pilot that never was picked up, but she was in full camera ready makeup, and it was neat to be face to face so unexpectedly. I said "Hey, Gayle Weathers!" I assured her it was no problem. Super cool encounter with a cool celeb.
Nice story and she seems cool. I'm way more a Scream 1-5 fan and have barely seen any episodes of Friends. It's good Courtney has two big shows/movies behind her name

She’s my parents age and I always thought she was a lot younger. She has a lot of life in her still. Her character was always my favorite in friends.
Same here, she's same age as my mom. I used to watch her on friends as a late teen to 20 year old and always wished I had a life like that. Seems weird that she's older than me, I always thought she was about my age
Easily my favorite Friends character and you can see it in her personality. There's something refreshing about people that are highly critical of themselves but love other people. That was her role on the show she was often stressing and worrying and stuff but never put that same pressure on her friends. When she made mistakes she got down on herself. When her friends made mistakes, she welcomed them with open arms. Seems like there was a lot of the real Courtney in the character and that's why she felt more natural than everyone else IMO. Seems like a truly kind person.
Her voice is a part of her and she is beautiful. Funny, how there are things we all obcess about regarding ourselves......but its what makes us who we are. ❤
She was literally one of my favorite characters in this show and it’s one of my favorite shows of all time !! And if I ever sow her in person lol 😂 I’d fan out!! So happy to know that she’d be inviting if I ever sow her out and wanted a picture with her 💕💕💕.

Lately, whenever I watch her in various clips, she reminds me in subtle ways of Margot Kidder. I find that intriguing. Anyhoo, what a classy woman Courtney is and what a wonderful gift of characters she's given us to enjoy through the years.

This doesn't surprise me. People who make it on the top and are secure of their spot there are usualy really nice. I'll speak from expirence. I'm into skateboarding and had a chance of meeting couple of legends from the indsutry. To this day I'm surprised off just how nice,polite and open they were. On other hand I know some local heros who have the biggest ego's simply becasue they are the best kid in town. Is strange. Is almost as if they feel like they have to protect something,while people who are truly on top at some point lose that.

honestly for most people its difficult to watch yourself on screen, wether it's home videos or movies you're acting in or interviews... plus for many artists looking at your art feels narcissistic. I almost never use or watch my art I prefer to do it and other people enjoy it.

With so many of the comments about her face I paused it and looked. I do believe had she not done anything invasive she would still look so soft and sweet. Not sure if she was ever a smoker but having stopped the filler there are a bunch of vertical lines above her lips. Her face is very dimensional for her age so you can tell she had work. I don't fault her for it. Her body her choice but I do think she was on tv at a time where the extremely thin look and fighting aging look was at an all time high. Everyone objectifies women in the business. It is part of the business and you have to have thick skin and solid foundation/
