the chimes are normally home time chimes for workers, sort of an old tradition lol, not sure what time you went shopping but yeah, thats what they are.
O'h dear, I just had a thought pop into my head now. Those "junk" snes for around £5, popping a pi inside that is running retropie. There are even adaptors for the snes controllers so they plug into usb ports, so a little rewiring and the original controllers could still be used connected on the front ports of the snes.
Love going on these game hunts in Japan with you. Wow, that Super Famicom is sooooo tan! That's like an old man in Florida with wrinkly skin kind of tan! The Clock Tower display area, how fun. The Famicom system rack is neat; I'm always a sucker for oddball pieces like that.
Remember try friends 1st. seems a lovely shop glad you found Rockman3 and robocop dying to see what the other is like or what it is ... another enjoyable video Bill
At 7:38 that is a pretty epic copy of Snow Bros for Famicom. That had to be in the 350,000 yen range... 10:10 I picked up that exact copy of Jurassic Park and also couldnt believe the price. Has a cool VHS box look to it.
From my experience, don't try getting any game without doing a research on it, at least look it up in 3 different stores, their prices can fluctuate from double to 5 times
Thanks for the videos. I look forward to seeing your video games hunt daily. It’s giving us an idea of where to go when we visit Japan next month.
you will have a blast! I have 2 to 3 more vids coming up!
