It's so refreshing listening to you. Making new friends became stressful at a point because, it's disappointing when you can't find people on the same frequency as you. Dara, Ella and all the Mike-Bamiloyes make christianity so practicable. God bless you guys
The issue of everyone is doing it does not even arise, because we are called to be different. We referred to as the called out. Like one of the ladies said, anytime you hear everybody is doing it, it is a lie and that is the voice of the devil.
Christians must never be afraid to be different. As a matter of fact, we should be. When we blend, it is because something isn't right.
Princes are raised with the awareness that they are different and not commoners and when we carry that mindset, the devil cannot take advantage of us by pointing to how others do things.

I haven't even finished watching this but had to comment. Dara said God's standard doesn't change, we don't live a different life in church and another outside church! Selah! Greater grace in Jesus name. Keep it up ladies. We are in the end time we must take the goodnews of Jesus Christ to the uttermost part of the earth. Now is the time. We dwell in a world where compromise doesn't make you a less Christian or blending a bits. Like they will say 'we all go to church so...'
There were times I felt 'why was I the only one' or I felt left out? And many times I drifted from God but the holy spirit brought me back. Like what Dara said, the people who encourage you in doing bad are the same people who look at you and awaits your outcome.
When we as Christians,Christlike live for eternity then we never need to compromise or join the world. No matter how long we live on earth ,we will live much more in Heaven.
The fact that everyone is doing it does not change God's standard.

This topic is for me. Just today I was asking myself why is it that I look different from others. Is like I'm taking this church THINGS more serious than others. I'm too religious. These are the things that came to my mind. But I just realised I'm a different person. I'm not others that's why the holy spirit always chastise me if I try to drift away.
I am also conscious of what I do because I will Never get away with it.

I'm really blessed...when it seems everyone is doing it but you refuse to join them and you are hated, persecuted, treated like an outcast and made to feel like you are the sinner and then you have to go back and check your Bible again and ask the Holy Spirit, and HE keeps reassuring you that you are on the right path. This is really happening in this world. True believers are seen as OUTCAST and HATED. Dara and Ella's testimonies are so encouraging and so beautiful. May the grace of God see us through. This world is not our home , heaven is our real home. Even Jesus was hated because he is not of this world. Let's us not be discouraged, knowing that it will all end one day. Heaven a place where there is no weeping and no sorrow. It is also true that some people are actually looking up to you, some are not bold enough to stand out for God because they are afraid of being victimized but when they become filled with the Holy Spirit, they are empowered and they become bold. In relationship like marriage, a reasonable man or a god fearing man will pray for a rare gem like this, someone like Dara and Ella. When God is pleased and happy with you, it doesn't matter if the whole world is against you. Always dare to be different. (1 PETER 1:23, 2:9) It pays at the end.
So, this was nice. So we live in a world that consistently and consciously takes a stand against God with a multitude standing in support of her system. A few,,, and I mean a few take a stand for God and are tagged weirdos- if there's a word like that.
I will like to tell this hilarious but embarrassing story of how we sometimes as God children try to drift to join the pack of the world and God forcefully brings us back. lol.
So, here it goes. I had just finished service and I went to the market to get some skirts while awaited my new job. I tried the skirts on getting home and found the one I liked the most was short, tight with a funny slit that seemed to be screaming "that's a church girl" - you know how church girls walked in a funny manner when they wore inappropriate clothes- a total misfit. But I wore a lot of long skirts growing up and I thought I could tweak my style a bit to be like the girls. As I looked into the mirror the next day on my out, I heard the Holy Spirit say, " That's skirt is not for you, daughter" but I ignored him. I was tired of all his hand me downs I thought walking to see someone.
As soon as I left the house and got to the streets- the unbelievable happened. I stopped a bike and told him my destination. Then the problem started with me trying to get on the bike... the skirt was too tight to climb over. I could its threads giving as the slits gradually tore open from behind. I tried harder to climb until I heard someone yell from behind,
"SISTER, THAT YOUR SKIRT IS TOO TIGHT NA.."🤣🤣🤣
Pls, tell me it was a dream. A pure water truck driver whom I didn't know had to tell me again what the spirit of God had said. How did he even know I was a sister? I mean, sisters don't wear that kind of skirt. I came off the bike and ran home as fast as I could. As I ran I sobbed uncontrollably. It was my heavenly father's voice speaking through the driver. I was excited I didn't miss it a second time.
Hmmm.. How he (the Holy Spirit) doesn't want us to be like everyone else and do things coz everyone else is doing it. God bless us all!
I can totally relate with your experience sis. In my case, after wearing it to work once and feeling like the whole world was looking at me, I jejely gave my friend who is smaller and shorter than I am. I knew the skirt wasn't for me
In fact mine was a flay skirt but a little shorter than what I normally wore, it was my class mate that normally wears shorter clothes that asked me, 'whats happening', I had to give the cloth out after that time .

Wonderful Topic Ladies, you have both spoken well, my contribution is considering the continues battle between our spirit man and our flesh ( the Bible said the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak) my point is many of us have missed it somehow sometimes in our lives, but we shouldn't give up, we should rise up and correct our mistakes and move on in obedience, there is a parable in Edo language translated in English it means no matter how perfect and stable you can work there is the possibility that you can heat your leg on a rock one day and fall, but when this happens don't remain on the ground, get up shake it off and move on. But what i don't get is when somebody falls and remains there, accepts it as a way of live, tries to justify his/her actions as if God has changed his word because of him/her, if we don't accept our mistakes and ask the Holy Spirit to help us how can we change, so it is one thing to fall and realise you have fallen and rise up repent ask for forgiveness and move on, but is another thing entirely to fall and try to justify our falling, remaining in the comfort zone. So no matter how far we have gone he is faithful and just to accept us back, consider the popular story of the prodigal son in the Bible. This is just a piece to encourage us all, may the Lord help us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

This happened to me in my former place of work. I felt so bad. But guess what!! God surprised me few months after. God keep keeping us strong in this era where the lie is dressed in truth and truth is trying to find her place convincing people she is actually true. God help me..

So beautiful. I love this... Well, for me, it's been more of a struggle, back in secondary school, I also stood for God at various occasions but it was just more of me doing it by faith and Love for God. Back then, I didn't have any experience like that of Dara neither did I have friends that stood for God. Instead, my entire class was against Me.
I always felt alone, I always cried and prayed by faith... It wasn't a nice experience at all.
Though, it seemed like God wasn't there for me during those periods, presently, I enjoy God's unmerited favor and Blessings.
Sometimes, we might stand for God and feel that we are all alone but God is right beside us, watching, caring and strengthening us. We'll get the crown and reward if we do not give up

so this is a very important topic that we all both the old and young must sit back and ponder over. thank You, Ella and Dara, for bringing this out. so when I was in university, I was so tempted very tempted to fornicate. but a particular scripture kept coming. when thoughts of the fact that there are no virgins anymore and it is the norm for one to not be a virgin, the scripture that the Holy Spirit reminds me of is the story of Elijah. when he thought that Jezebel had killed all the prophets and he felt he was alone so he wanted God to take his life. the surprising thing was Gods response on how he had preserved for Himself 7000 who hadn't bowed their kneels down. meaning even though there are a lot of people who had gone astray, I knew that there were people preserved Just like myself who haven't and though I didn't know them, that gave me peace and comfort to know I am with those who are on the Lord's side. I will be getting married next week and that singular decision I made long ago though wasn't easy, I am glad I made it.
